I would've preferred to...

...keep the Kishin Liger deal until the first night at WK in a Suzuki vs Liger singles match :yeshrug:
I understand, but the regular gimmick means more than Kishin.

Kishin is cool as fukk, it's the best way to sell a battle with Suzuki, but it's honestly better to have him retire to a junior and put someone younger over (like Hiromu)

I would love for Kishin to defeat Suzuki, just to send the alter ego out on a high note, though. Seeing MiSu in genuine fear is incredible selling on his part.

Since Wrestle Kingdom will be two nights, one could be for Kishin and another for the junior send-off

Jay White has gotten a bit better, or perhaps it's just that Naito is that good, but the Gedo interference is so old at this point. Even when kept at a minimum it just instantaneously sucks all the air out of a serious match.

:patrice:

I personally think it makes more sense for MiSu to go over. He's the guy who's sticking around. There's not much more they can give him in terms of plaudits or belts, but retiring Kishin would be a good accomplishment for a wrestler who's entire raison d'etre is :demonic:,:pacspit:and

Also it would get paid forward to whoever retires Suzuki. If Liger wins the story just kinda ends there. :yeshrug:

I thought about that too, but I guess they'll want Kishin on all the marketing/ merch leading into WK. Storywise it would be a cool direction, but logistically it would probably be a nightmare for the front office.

By the way, Jake Lee won the Oudu tourney. He pinned Kento in the finals and became n°1 contender. He'll face Kento again for the TC on 10/24 at Korakuen.
