I wonder if Shota is only gonna wrestle at RevPro or go through all the indies. Doesn’t seem like the UK is helping Hikuleo or Oka.

Shota is pretty much ready though, even if he doesn't do much in the UK he'll be getting a big spot and most likely be ready once he comes back to New Japan. Same thing happened with Okada, and Shota is on that level of a prospect.

Always felt Uk is more for the heavy who needs more work on the craft (Hikuleo and Oka).

Shota is a ready talent. If ROH wasn't so shyt, he could have gone there. We need the NJPW and AEW agreement soon.

Hopefully, he could allow to freelance and do other indies. You know PWG would love to book him for their shows like they book Jay and Himoru.

On the sidenote, Is Oka hurt? He last wrestled in Feb. Hope he didn't get the Kitamura treatment.

By the way, Jake Lee won the Oudu tourney. He pinned Kento in the finals and became n°1 contender. He'll face Kento again for the TC on 10/24 at Korakuen.

One of the young guns has to go over Kento. AJPW needs some type of rival for Kento.

That's true, and if Lee loses they really have no one "new" to take the belt for at least 3-5 months (the amount of time to give either Nomura or Lee another run of Ws to build momentum).

But to be honest, Lee has been underwhelming as fukk. I don't think he's ready to be a top rival to Miyahara.

It boggles the mind they didn't go with Zeus as a stop gap for this year.

I wasn’t impressed with Shota at SJC.

I think what may have really hurt him is that he was booked against Tanahashi right out the gate like he was Okada, and he ain't Okada.

Then they did the slow burn turn on Okada like he was Tana, but he ain't Tana.

Really, they would've been best served with starting him with his current Goto/Naito fukkery. He's actually been pretty good this whole time, but he's stuck going against faces that damn near everyone will get booed against just because, but not because of their actual heel work.

Hell, they even teased him being the reason Roppongi 3k would break up, which would've been effective, but they deaded that.
