Mos def at least a gentleman handshake.

Wouldn't be surprised Omega and the Bucks reappears by Wrestle Kingdom

Kenny wrestling Kota at WK 14 has been the prediction since 13 ended though. They need a ton of big matches for back to back Dome shows. Liger retiring isn't gonna sell itself, sadly.

I don't think there's been any roster more decimated than ROH's in the past few years: Cody, The Young Bucks, SoCal Uncensored, Kenny Omega, Adam Page, Dijak Trent, Chucky T, Kushida, Punishment Martinez, ACH, Cedric, Hardys, Mike and Maria, all of Undisputed Era, Anderson and Gallows, AJ, Corino and Nigel, Lio Rush, will be losing Marty Scurll soon, missed out entirely on guys like Matt Riddle, Keith Lee, Trevor Lee, Shane Strickland, Johnny Gargano in that same period.

It's no wonder they're so garbage now. I almost feel bad for them but :camby: they could have paid more for The Elite and kept all of them and AEW never would have formed and will cannibalize their audience and all the talent involved.

NJ has to be looking at the talent they had access to at the start of their deal with ROH and what they have no and :francis::francis: as hell

ROH misused so much untapped talent its criminal. PWG got more outta Dijak, Lee, ACH and Cedric than ROH ever did. These mofos barely used Ospreay when he was there for a while.

I can't wait for ROH final demise. :ehh:

I stopped following ROH around 2012, but at that point you could tell they were 6 months to a year behind anything that was hot in the indys. One of the reasons PWG started to "blow up" was because they had the finger on the pulse and no matter how many people they lost, they kept booking new and exciting talent that started to gain momentum with them.

Once ROH lost that ability to be the new, cool place were the most talented non-WWE performers went to wrestle, they were fukked. Even with all the guys already mentioned, they never had much of a spark, and like 90% of the time the wrestlers they had did waaay better in other places.

It's been a slow and painful road to irrelevancy. fukk them for not doing shyt to change things in like a decade, they deserve it. Just like NOAH and TNA deserved their demise :manny:

All facts. Every time I watch ROH, it's a parade of "Smack, who is this nikka!?", as they really don't have too many big names from the Indy scene fukking with them right now.

It also doesn't help that, for whatever reason, their shows/in ring style seem to come off as WWE-lite. That's probably an oversimplification, but that's just what the last few PPVs I've watched have felt like. At that point, if you're going to watch essentially WWE and be confused about who's in the ring, you might as well just watch WWE, I guess.

I don't think ROH's in ring style is WWE-lite, it's more the ROH style got co-opted by WWE when 80% of the WWE roster is ROH alums, and ROH never tried to change or update. It's quite similar to the ECW/WWF relationship in the Attitude Era.

That's the point, though. It's like they're resigned to being NXT's developmental territory. They had the opportunity to sign plenty of the same people AEW and NJPW are working with now, but either weren't interested, or just mishandled them.

The in ring style is totally on them too. There was no reason for Gabe to spearhead the "mat wrestling is cool again" movement in the East Coast with Thatcher, Gulak, Busick, ZSJ and later dikkinson, Riddle and Yehi. How a guy like Riddle never even worked ROH once is :mindblown:

EVOLVE became a NXT farm system and they still had WAY more interesting shyt in ring than ROH. I make fun of Gabe all the time but he at least tried to keep pushing forward. Delirious has been an abomination of a booker for almost a DECADE :why:

I've got a lot of BOSJ to catch up on. Too busy last week and I had to put AEW first on Sunday/Monday.

I'm liking ELP a lot in this tournament. Can't wait to see what they do with Moxley.
