Didn't know that was Shigehiro Irie last match w/ DDT.

Is he going freelance or jump to DG, W-1, or some other promotions?

Strong Hearts staying around :ehh: good.

DDT is a better look than W-1.

Might see the Razcals vs Speedball/MAO

I'm curious now: If DB's not your technical GOAT (if I'm reading that right), then who is? :lupe:
.

What would make him a standout technical wrestler? I guess that's my issue when people throw that moniker to anyone.

DB is, to me, the greatest north american wrestler in the last 18 years but his mat wrestling, while pretty good and used well for the most part, wasn't some otherworldly shyt like you could see in WOS, Lucha or shoot style.

I wasn't trying to contest it, just interested in the reasoning (I'd have to think hard about it myself).

And I figured you'd say something like that, which makes sense. I will say, however, that there's something to be said for being the absolute best at a style as opposed to innovating said style. Not to say that the former would always win over the latter, just saying that the conflict would have to be considered.

But that's all a conversation for another time.

The main problem to me is that "technical wrestler" doesn't really mean anything :pachaha: the concept is way more broad than high flyer, brawler, or hardcore. So what you base your opinion on who is the best at it depends on how you categorize technical wrestling.

Word to Bret Hart being a technical wrestler and Stone Cold being a brawler despite by and large working the same :russ:

AdolescentCookedArgentineruddyduck-max-1mb.gif
as he walks to the ring. He needs to link up with Mighty Crown and get it popping for Jan 4th :wow:

His rugby entrance with ACH from the other night would make a great IN gif too :pachaha:

CIMA vs Konosuke Takeshyta - DDT Peter Pan 2018
Leonid Agutin

It says a lot that it took 20 minutes for the crowd to give a shyt about Takeshyta, even though this was a big and unique interpromotional match - and was worked as one - the fans were mostly silent and treating it like it was whatever, which hurt it a lot because atmosphere is key for this type of match, or at least it is to me. CIMA did great as the invader heel, cheating and using every advantage he took to hurt the young Ace, his work on the leg was compelling and his cut offs were nicely done. Konosuke is still just meh in big matches, his selling of the leg was all over the place and it was frustrating because when he did sell it, he did an awesome job, but his comebacks still lack fire and everytime he has control of the action the crowd just doesn't care. This had a some cool moments and it got very good near the end, it could've been REALLY good with a hotter crowd.

West where the Sunsets
I just saw 2 Morishima/Misawa matches. Good god. :picard:

Seeing all those Saitos was :mindblown: knowing that’s what took out Misawa.

Then in one match Misawa hits a double undertook powerbomb off the apron. Morishima hit like 95% of the concrete floor.
