NJPW Cup 2017: Round 1

Pretty surprised at the quality of round one of the NJ Cup. Seems to me like it's kind of been filler for most of the past decade or so, but it had some high quality matches this year. Omega/Ishii, EVIL/Tanahashi, Suzuki/Shibata, even Elgin/Fale was a solid hoss match.

Does anyone else think Kawada is the best pillar?

I used to and now have him as my least favorite. Kawada is at his best as the second in a tag team as opposed to main event singles guy. I'd go so far as to say I prefer Kawada as Misawa's tag partner than opponent, too.
