It's doing just as bad. More often than not they can't even get 1k at Korakuen.

And AJPW is doing marginally better. They are all still glorified indys with a "name" at this point.

You gotta drop the "can puro promotions turn things around?" talk breh, they are not going to do anything worth a damn for while. Even if they, for some miracle, get 7k for a Sumo Hall show, it wont mean much in the grand scheme of things.

It took New Japan close to 7 years to complete their turn around. All Japan hasn't even started their's yet so if you expect any big news, they are gonna take years to come.
I get that for sure, but why do you say they haven't started yet? Miyahara doing business.

Also, breh, chill on the spoilers. I would have liked to have watched that 30 min draw without knowing.

Because a couple of months drawing better in very small venues doesn't mean much. They need more than that and just Miyahara to start anything that could resemble a turn around.

I'll give you an example. Late 2000's NOAH was still drawing (in hindsight) decent numbers in big venues and booking them for every big show. They had young guys like Morishima, Go, Sugi and vets like Akiyama and Kensuke Sasaki. They sometimes drew better than expected, sometimes they had some DUDs. They still had a NATIONAL TV deal with NTV. And in the grand scheme of things they were a distant third in terms of importance or making money.

All Japan is not even close to even that level. The margin from "good for an indy" to "that's just sad" (current NOAH) is VERY small and can change very fast. But they gotta get out of that bottom to even begin to DREAM about a turn around.

The first five days are in RH Archives. I going to catch up later this week.

I always forget to check his Google Drive, I just check his Rutube and go :feedme: like a fiend :heh:

Watched the 4/27 Road to show

-Entertaining multi tag match between Taguchi Japan and LIJ although Yoshi Tatsu sticks out like a sore thumb

-Suzuki taking out Goto for the strap. I'd imagine there's a rematch somewhere down the line?

Here's all Meltzer's five star AJPW matches, saw it posted on the Observer board and thought it might interest some people. Handy to have them all linked in one place.

Watching two triple crown matches from 2015 (Go vs Doering) and 2016 (Zeus vs Miyahara), it's easy to see why AJPW ain't shyt. Their current house style is so nondescript. Absolutely nothing that sets it apart from anything else. It's the most generic "Japanese wrestling" style possible until the last stretch, where guys hit their finishers 3 times in a row and win with a basic strike.
