Either way that fukking headbutt was so unnecessary :snoop:

I thought he had cut himself under his hair and used the headbutt to reopen it, but if he really split his shyt open hardway then man I dont even know what to say :scust:

Like I said before, we might not know the real diagnosis of what happened to Shibata, but it's always been pretty clear he fukked himself up bad with that headbutt. If it's a semi work, he still has to change his style if he doesn't want to end up like Misawa :to:

Why do people keep saying it's a work? That doesn't seem like the way the Japanese would do things.

Because Tokyo Sports still does kayfabe news (like PWI used to do back in the day) from time to time. Again, it's not like they would completely make this story up. But making this whole thing more dramatic - forced retirement included - wouldn't be out of the question with them. At this point it seems everything is 100% legit, sadly, but going :leostare: at the story is kinda natural all things considered.

If it is Shibata's last match, what a damn finale.

So much respect for him. He was in the dog house when he came to New Japan because of moving to MMA and literally sacrificed his career to wrestle great matches.

No one thought it was a work until Double Talk Dave floated the idea after 2 people he didn't even trust told him it was a work when everyone else said it was real. A real journalist would have sat on that until he could get confirmation instead of muddying the waters for no reason.

Dave has been worked by Tokyo Sports numerous times, I'm glad he actually did his job this time before just completely trusting them considering this is a pretty big story.

That's not really doing his job, though. That's throwing out unconfirmed reports from unconfirmed sources that he outright said he didn't trust. If you don't trust them, why are you going to report their shyt :why:

Because of Dave, now people still don't know what to think whereas if he had kept his mouth shut or actually confirmed anything, people wouldn't be confused about this thing.

There is another serious situation in Japan, as Akebono was rushed to the hospital after a show in Fukuoka. The last word we had is that he was in a medically induced coma. He was expected to be hospitalized for at least ten days. He was hospitalized after a match on Tuesday night in Omuta working for DDT.

Not entirely true. I'd still be :patrice: because it's Tokyo Sports :manny:

Loads of people I saw thought it was a work before Dave said a thing. It's pretty natural for fans/workers to fall on the side of work because of history. People seem to think Dave is some sort of messiah who totally controls what people think. It's funny because they're clearly not subscribers because then they'd see that half the Observer board just take the opposite side to whatever he says.

Also Tokyo Sports.
