All Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that Toshiaki Kawada will be appearing, though not competing, at their upcoming Korakuen Hall show on July 28th. Kawada will be watching the show at ringside as well as being a part of an autograph session with the fans in attendance.

Suwama has been vocal as of late for a few former wrestlers to come back for the rebirth of All Japan, and Kawada has been on the top of list. Kawada has not competed in the ring since the summer of 2010 and made his first appearance in a ring in May of this year for Kobashi's retirement show.

With Akira Taue holding his retirement at the end of this year there has been much talk that Kawada would return to be apart of the Taue's final match. Then from I have seen it seems that Kawada has been putting on some weight again since dropping quite a bit during his time away. Does this mean that we could see Kawada return to the ring? I guess we may know sooner than later.

Desperate times.

How the fukk are they wasting Yoshihito against Nichllos and Haste? :why:

Sugi vs Yoshihito would be fire.

And the heat for that KENTA/Yone match at Ariake is gonna hit an all time low :heh:

Yeah, I'm just looking like :wtf: at both of those. Is the level of talent in NOAH so bad that Yone, of all people, gets a shot at the belt and Nicholls and Haste are the Tag Champs. Man, I hope Yoshihito lariats one of those guys' heads into the 6th row of Korauken, just because. Awful.

I'm so behind Puro it's depressing brehs. Haven't been able to watch shyt since May. The only match I've seen was Daisuke vs Ryuichi that Wolf posted (good, formula match).

I'm at that point were I want to catch up but there's so many stuff, and so much heavily praised shyt that I'm like :noah: at the thought of watching things that wont live up to the hype (like the Daisuke match).

After months I finally have time and my lazy ass feels watching piff is a chore :snoop:

I actually think that the Nicholls and Haste push has been one of the bright spots of NOAH over the past year or so. I'm going through 2012 shows, for some reason, and they've improved a lot and gotten over pretty well, I mean they're not great by any means but they do a lot of stuff well and are believable as champs right now I think. I do agree that Sasaki could be better used but the match does interest me, Sasaki isn't going to take the fall so it'll be cool.

Just happy to see them bring any BJW guys in, I know it's something that the ''big'' feds avoid doing because of the death match stuff.

Minor Observer notes:

AJPW:

The road shows are drawing terribly, to the point they aren’t even announcing crowds at some venues, and when they did, like on 7/23, it was 127 people. :what:

NOAH:

KENTA did an interview talking about he and Katsuyori Shibata going to one of the WWE shows at Sumo Hall and being in the front row. He said that if there was a chance, he’d like to do some matches in WWE. Shibata said that he liked Antonio Cesaro, but overall, didn’t like the WWE show.

Other:

Keiji Muto talked about his Wrestle-1 group. He noted that they don’t have a TV deal yet. He’s looking at not only running in Japan but to expand into Asia. He’s looking at Masayuki Kono and Kai as top stars, and Yasufumi Nakanoueno to be booked strong to attract women. He wants to use wrestlers from other promotions on his shows. He said that Masahiro Chono won’t be involved since he’s under contract with All Japan. The company has announced its debut show for 9/8 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall, followed by 9/15 in Nagoya, 9/21 in Kyoto and 9/22 in Ishikawa.

Kenta Kobashi, who is not affiliated with All Japan after the initial word he would take over from Hiroshi Hase as the figurehead commissioner of the Pacific Wrestling Federation, is very busy doing talk shows all over Japan. He frequently appears on television shows and of late, he, Kenny Omega of DDT and Ryoji Sai of Zero-One appeared in a music video for the super famous Japanese band AKB48. Asuka Karamochi of the band was a guest at Kobashi’s retirement show on 5/11. There is some talk that Muto will try and use Kobashi in some form as an authority figure with his new promotion.

Cesaro getting cosigned all over the place :wow:

The last 10 minutes of Tana vs Ishii were absolutely beautiful. I've been an Ishii stan since he carried Inoue's sorry ass to a legit MOTYC in a fukking LOCK UP show in 09' and watching him work that Korakuen Hall magic in the MAIN EVENT of a G-1 show almost brought a tear to my eye brehs :to:

Ishii/Shibata :wow: Even better than the Tana match I think.

Hearing good things about the Nak/Kota main event too, even from people who usually don't like either dude.

Nakamura/Ibushi and Shibata/Ishii both were completely amazing, in very different ways.

Not sure which I liked better. Guess it would depend on whether I'm in the mood to see flashiness or ferocity.
