The most shocking thing to me is that Dave FINALLY didn't get worked on one these stories. He normally is the one that gets things mixed up when it comes to puro news and then has to clarify it was just kayfabe. Tokyo Sports still doing things PWI couldn't do in the fukking 90's :wow:

Can anyone find the first Generico/Ibushi DDT match? 5/4/12. That thing seems to have been erased from the internet.

Tokyo Sports is known for reporting kayfabe news. That's the issue with this subject. At this point I don't know what to believe. But what I do think is certain is that Shibata got fukked up thanks to that dumb ass headbutt, and that kinda thing is never not serious. Now, what exactly happened to him is anyone's guess.

Man, you really have a thing for finding mediocre matches that happened long time ago, there's a reason they are hard to find :pachaha: I think your best bet is looking for links for the whole show (Max Bump 2012), RUDOS were uploading everything during that time so maybe there's a link still working out there. Only thing I could find was the main event between Takahashi and Hino :francis:

There has been a lot of specualtion that we have seen Katsuyori Shibata's last match. His neurosurgeon has said that there is a possibility this may recur, and if he were to continue that he'd need to dial it back. Also, Meltzer has said there's a 50/50 probability it is his last. If that Okada match is his last, then man he really laid it out there and gave it everything he had one last time.

On one side is Tokyo Sports but the fact they attached an apparently known neurosurgeon's name to it it's worrying.

I have that DDT show. Let me see what I can do.
