Well, he only had 2 matches in New Japan in 99' (against Hash, fukking Inokism :smh:)

98' you are right, a quick search didn't lead to any of the Don Frye matches (just he 99' UFO match). I'll see if I can find anything.

I don't why but I watched that Hashimoto/Ogawa match again and it still pisses me the fukk off. How in the name of fukk do you kill your n°1 draw and Ace of the company for such a nothing wrestler? It's one thing to exchange wins and make Ogawa look like a beast but considering how the feud kept going this match just reminded me were things would end up. fukk you Inoki, fukk you :pacspit:

edit: a reminder of better times

I'm looking for the 1/4 match they had in 1999. Obviously not on NJ World, but I can't find it anywhere else, either.

The worked shoot angle? I think your best bet is just buying a comp that has it or find someone that has one and ask him to uploaded it. I'm not sure if Loss or Will (goodhelment) from PWO are still selling it but I know they had that match in their "90's Yearbook" project. PM them and see what you can get.

That shyt was the beggining of the end :to: though it has high doses of fukkery.

I ain't about to buy a comp of 18 year old wrestling for a 6 minute match/angle, breh. :stopitslime:

But seriously, shyt is crazy how it isn't online ANYWHERE. Not even those super shytty Asian streaming sites that play shyt in like 240p.

It's been online before because I've seen it. But as you said, New Japan probably taking shyt down like crazy now that they have NJ World.

If you don't want to buy it (you could just get the 99' Yearbook from Will and get a bunch of piff shyt, but whatever :manny:) you just have to be patient. I waited for YEARS for someone to upload Hashimoto vs Tenryu from February 94' - a match I had stupid high expectations from and it was even better than I thought it would be :ohlawd: - and in like 2009 Seabs bought a comp and uploaded it in wrestlingforum...that's why I told you that you could also ask someone who has it to uploaded. shyt, maybe even Seabs has it (he's also on PWO by the way).

BTW, as you said it, it's only a like a 8 minute angle of shoot worked stuff. You can get the gist of it in all the other highlight videos that disgusting Hash/Ogawa feud had.

Idk why I ever signed up for PWO. That place is so fukking serious and intellectual about such a stupid ass form of entertainment. There is no fun to be had there. fukking Grimmas man. What happened to that dude? He wasn't like that in the DVDVR days. You can't talk about wrestling as just a dumb fun thing to watch, but you also can't complain about it or else you get all these nerds getting bent out of shape about it, anytime there is a hint of conflict people are begging the mods to close a thread.

Buncha fukking pussies over there, tbh.

It has gotten worse since the GWE ended, to be fair. But yeah, PWO was ALWAYS the "serious wrestling discussion at all times" place. After DVDVR became a cesspool of trolls the most knowledgeable posters migrated permanently to PWO. Knowledge and debate has always been the main thing about that board, and also having opinions that differ from the majority of the IWC. It's not a place to have daily combos, I mainly use it to read interesting takes - sometimes it gets too nerdy or "intellectual" for wrestling but it's whatever, I just skip those threads - learn shyt from the 80's and 90's or find out about incredible wrestlers I never checked out before (that's why I took part of the GWE project). I've never seen it as a place to just have fun talking about wrestling, it's way too serious and not a lot is gained by having a back and forth.

I used to joke with @Honga Ciganesta how a PWO vs TheColi invasion would go considering how different both places are and the weird character/posters each board has :pachaha:

What happened to Grimmas I have no clue. Dude was easy going as can be for the longest but in the last year he slowly became a whiny motherfukker. He can't stand any joke or criticism about anything because he feels everything is either offensive or dismissive. It's a shame really.

His complete shyt fit over people talking about Chris Hero's look because his wife had an eating disorder was the most ridiculous thing I've been a part of on the internet in years. This mother fukker was arguing things no one was even arguing, then getting mad about it. It was basically boiling down to you should never talk about a wrestler's body unless it is Rick Rude tier, because it might hurt the feelings of....fans watching. Somewhere. Even if its on a message board and said fans aren't involved in the conversation. :upsetfavre:

Also, the rankings on GWE are fukking absurd. The Rock isn't even in the top 100, but Bobby Eaton (who I do love) is like top 20 all time. Jerry Lawler (I've seen the DVDVR Memphis comp, so I know his true body of work and know he was great in Memphis) in the top 10 over guys like Bret/Macho/Harley/Jumbo/Rude/Steamboat/Vader/Austin/HBK/Benoit/Eddie etc. To those people, The Rock and Chris Hero are 3-4 spots away from each other. Daniel Bryan is 5 OF ALL TIME. Like, come on brehs.

They take things VERY seriously over there, just looking and there's a 14 page thread on Lucha vs Puro and it gets into the semantics of if an opinion can be wrong. Ok.

Anyway speaking of this serious pursuit known as wrestling, I saw this in a classic Observer

Several ECW wrestlers are scheduled as well. The top two matches look to be H (original Hayabusa unmasked) vs. Fake Hayabusa (Mr. Gannosuke) and a loser leaves FMW match (this stipulation will be honored about as much as most WWF stipulations) with Kodo Fuyuki vs. Masato Tanaka. They are now building around a feud with Fuyuki, the booker, and President Shoichi Arai. On 9/24 at Korakuen Hall, Fuyuki said that he had finished booking the Arena show and his group tied Arai up in the ring, Fuyuki took off his pants and urinated in the ring on Arai. I'm glad to see Fuyuki is so innovative that he's created a concept the Americans are sure to steal (I know, they did it first in Incredibly Strange Wrestling). The ring smelled of dirty urine the rest of the show. Now that must have been fun to them watch the rest of the matches.
