I don't dislike Kushida, I just think he's average and bland. Not face of the division type of guy. He's more indicative of how Gedo doesn't give a shyt about the juniors more than anything.

Current guys I enjoy watching:
Nakamura, AJ, Rusev, Roman, New Day, Revival, Tanahashi, Okada, American Alpha, Sami before his injury (breh just ain't the same)

But I watch far more pre 90s stuff than current, and my tastes are tuned to that. Get shytty indie guys outta my face.

Kushida is the only NJPW guy(aside of Liger) that i really don't care to ever have on my screen. Sick of his bytch ass holding the jr heavyweight belt hostage and never doing anything memorable. ROH should've made him & NJPW drop that shyt to ACH

Kushida is great in ring, but doesn't have much charisma. Liger's great, go back on NJPW World and watch some of his older stuff. The juniors division is not good right now, I wish they stopped booking the same matches and pushed Komatsu and Tanaka instead of sending em off to Mexico

Now that I think about it I'm not even sure who is in the jr division that's under contract:patrice:

Very interesting list. For curiosity sake, can you explain for reasoning for the placement of the following:

  • Jim Duggan
  • KVE

Both benefit from me watching all of their high end stuff and pretty much none of their lows. So even though I recon they were not consistently great, I saw enough great performances from them in the DVDVR 80's sets to place them that high. I also tend to really like Kerry Von Erich for some reason, love his NWA Titles matches and his stuff from the WCCW set.

Also, as I posted like 7 months ago:
I'm not sure why I can't bring myself to put someone like Tanahashi in the 30's. It kinda bothers me that I give older guys more credit and appreciate their work waaay more than current guys, even though there's tons of workers I enjoy a fukk ton nowadays, is it just nostalgia and the fact that it's easier to judge someone whose career is over (or almost over)?.

For some reason I just value what the older guys did more than current guys. It's not fair at all but it is what it is. I learned very early in the process that there was no way to make this list with any sort of real consistency.

It's funny reading that whole post I did months back and then watching my list. There's some stuff that stuck but I did change my mind on a couple of other things. Even though the selection and ranking process was a pain the ass, this whole project was fun as fukk. I'll love to do it again in 5 years as it is currently planned to happen :obama:

Current guys I enjoy watching:

Man, I'm getting scared that he might really not be the same anymore but it's still way too early to judge considering the injury he had. He's certainly been underwhelming so far though :mjcry:

Yeah I believe they still compete there as well as roh. Forgot Will Ospreay signed as well
He needs to get that win in 2 weeks. I'm as sick of Kushida as jr champ as i was of Nakamura as IC champ

He still feels tentative in all of his actions, and he's just missing the spark he had. Almost 4 months is enough time to be mostly back to normal, I'd think. I'm not even that hyped for Sami/Nak America anymore after seeing how...decidedly average Sami has been the past few months, and after that TERRIBLE video they put out on Nakamura talking about his knees taking out more people than polio and just because he dances and looks up to gay guys doesn't mean he won't beat your ass.

Maybe they shouldn't have swiped AJ, Nak, and the BC at the same time and NJPW would have let WWE use their footage to help hype Nak like they did with Balor. Without the footage, all they have is stills from ROH shows and their internal hype machine, which is broken.

No matter if Kushida retains or Ospreay takes it, hopefully they'll be in meaningful programs. Seems like Omega is kinda at a standstill right now with the IC title as well

Yeah, its been put on the backburner in favor then 6 man belts which imo are unneccesary/uncalled for.
