The Gracies are considered to be MMA/BJJ GODS.

Kazushi Sakabura was called "The Gracie Killer".

Sakuraba is a legend no doubt, but I would not call him a monster by any stretch of the imagination.

He made his name by beating incredibly OVERRATED Gracies

Seriously, the Gracie name is the most overrated shyt in MMA history. Royce made his name beating a bunch of one dimensional peons on the first couple UFC's. Once amateur wrestlers got into the game, he bounced with a quickness. NONE of the Gracies were ever skilled standup fighters or wrestlers. So going up against Sakuraba who has the skill to neutralize them, they lost

Sakuraba is a top 5 "legend" in MMA history no doubt, but he wouldn't even crack my top 20 all time greatest I don't think. And yes, I have seen all the Pride Fighting Championships that have ever existed, and seen his UFC Japan victory from the 90's.

Havent seen the other guys fight, so they are probably irrelevant in terms of GOAT talk. Pancrase had very odd rules and wasnt equivalent to todays MMA
