I'm far from an MMA expert but weren't some of Sakuraba's biggest wins worked? I know PRIDE had worked fights but can't recall if Saku's big moneymaker story was worked or not.

Jon Jones and Mark Coleman top 2 there and top 20 all time

Brock Lesnar and Bas Rutten next tier. Champions for a brief period but no longevity at all

Fujita, Forrest Griffin, Kevin Randleman next tier but all 3 were nothing better than gatekeepers at best, tomato cans at worst

Havent seen the other guys fight, so they are probably irrelevant in terms of GOAT talk. Pancrase had very odd rules and wasnt equivalent to todays MMA

I dont remember any Sakuraba works. Pride had no shame working fights, but I think most were involving marquee pro wrestlers transitioning to MMA (Takada most notably)

There may have been Sakuraba works, but not off the top of my head

I wasn't trolling. I was naming some mama fighters that were involved in wrestling at some point excluding Jon jones Forrest Griffin and maybe bas rutten. Although he was in that shaytards wrestling video.

welp I guess I been set straight :francis:

nah, I was mainly going by the articles I read. Made him seem like a huge deal in his heyday.
You werent wrong. He was a huge deal. He was considered possibly the P4P best for a moment in time.

I was trashing the Gracies more than anything. They never accomplished shyt after the first couple UFCs.....once other people learned how to fight. Sakuraba ate good off that name though.

just type his name into google and start reading. Dude is like an MMA legend and is/was a legit monster.

The Gracies are considered to be MMA/BJJ GODS.

Kazushi Sakabura was called "The Gracie Killer".
Oh, I know. I thought that you meant that he was literally doing the Pedigree move, but MMA style, lol.

You in pittsburgh right? How come you not going see em in philly?
Already took trips to DC/Virginia and Niagara Falls this year. Couldn't justify spending more money/traveling:yeshrug: If only they would come to Pittsburgh once for one of these shows with NJPW stars:francis:
