Honma/Ishii was awesome, but Dave has gone full retard with New Japan. Not that it matters though.

At this point, I take everything he says about NJPW with a slight grain of salt. I understand that he's probably happy to see Puro on the rise again (or New Japan, at least), but it seems like every third "great" match gets the full five from him these days.

I just take it as him showing his biases. He is just a man, after all. :manny:

When I saw Marufuji saying that he'll bring a mystery partner to help him in the war against Suzuki-Gun, I had a slight suspect that it would be...

Man I'm glad I don't know a word of Spanish now because I've always enjoyed Lucha commentary, I like the sound of the language I guess. I'm suprised to learn that they all suck (even worse than Raw). What's so bad about it exactly? Do they call the moves and get into storylines during big wager matches? Or do they just ramble on about nothing? I've always wondered about the content of commentary in both Lucha and Puro. I've watched a good amount of M-Pro and Joshi that didn't have any commentary and it's a pretty different experience, not terrible by any means though, interesting to hear every strike and crowd reaction.

The commentary that annoys me the most (even more than current WWE) is Nitro where you'll have an awesome spot fest going on with Rey/Juvi etc and they talk about the NWO exclusively, they won't even call near falls. Tenay helped out a bit when he came up but still, Heenan talking about nothing while Eddie is doing work :upsetfavre:

I like to pretend that when they cut to Hugo and Carlos at PPV's that they are instructing the Spanish speaking audience to begin the revolution against the nefarious gringo invaders and cast them out of the Motherland.

Probably not what they are saying, though. Right?

:lupe:

Right?

You're absolutely right. In fact, "fuego, fuego, Shushi, llama a los bomberos" means "let's set the US on fire":troll:

The Traps of Unified Korea
Drama popping off in joshi :lupe: STARDOM had their title match descend into a legit shoot with Yoshiko targeting the eye of Act (she has had lifelong eye issues, including losing sight, just had a surgery and came back from it in December to try and fix it) the match got stopped after a brutal six/seven minute debacle. Was a legit shoot. Kaori who is Yoshiko's kayfabe teammate but IRL friend left with Act. Act has a broken nose and broken orbital. No one knows what the fukk happened between them or why. shyt is wild :mindblown:

Breh.... Carlos & Hugo >>>>>>>>>> any play by play couple except a very elite few.

That's why Lucha commentary is so disappointing to me, Latino play by play is AMAZING in every sport/activity except in Lucha Libre, that makes no damn sense to me :mindblown:

I got babygirl added on my facebook. So, I wished her well on her recovery. It's sad some people can't work a match without shooting. Anyway, here's the backstory.

"not sure what I just watched but the main event was bullshyt, plain and simple. It wasnt a match of any kind. show abruptly ending. Yoshiko beat the shyt out if Act. Like, she beat the shyt out of her face. Bloody as hell. Reporters are like wtf right now. Io apologizing to fans. Kimura threw in a towel for Act. Act was pissed but she was in no shape to continue. work or not, bullshyt main event.

[Act] was pwned. they went at it punching right away, like a no shyt fight and Yoshiko got the best of her three different times. it was so stupid that it had to be real. now the others like Nanae are in the ring trying to get the crowd to be happy b

He then gave a full explanation when it was a confirmed shoot.

The whole thing started with an angle, a wierd one. for whatever reason, Yoshiko wouldnt sign the contract. ok, so it sounds like a total work right?

so the main event introd are ready to start, with a table and chairs in the ring. work right?
so Act and Oedo Tai come out. Then Yoshiko and her gang.
talk back and forth on the mic, Yoshiko won't sign the contract. Oedo Tai beat her up. Act is gonna put her thru a table, but referee Kyohei Wada stops it.
ok, things settle down, Yoshiko leaves the ring and signs the contract, which is at The timekeeper's table with Rossi now.
Ok. Title match. Normal intros are done.
match starts and they just stand there. finally Act slowly makes her way to Yoshiko. Yoshiko slaps her and they start wildly swinging, Act kind of flailing, Yoshiko straight up punching and connecting.
Act is bloody and Wada stips the fight to have her nose looked at. Everyone at ringside seemed too startled, it wasnt smooth. Act kept going. at this point I thought this is all just a work, but damn they are laying it in. well, Yoshiko is.
Act is screaming to continue, so the match goes on.
They go at it again, not working, but fighting, and Yoshik is kicking her ass bad.
All I could think is wtf. Are they really doing this for a story?
They went at it one more time and Yoshiko punched away and Act was totally dominated.
In the middle exchange, Yoshiko did throw Act into the ropes. And she ran really poorly. Yoshiko just did a bodyblocj and knocked her on her ass. Nothing besides that resembled a match.
Then the ref was going to call the match, looking to Rossi. I was watching Rossi shake his head no, and Fuka looking like wtf. That is when Kimura threw in the towel.
Everyone was in a state of shock, Odeo and Kairi took Act to the back, Act screaming and crying the entire way. Yoshiko also left abruptly.
Then it was panic mode. This was 5 minutes into their mainevent"

Holy shyt :damn: :mindblown:

If they ever agree to actually work against each other for a rematch they could get a nice gate. But that shyt between Yoshiko and Act makes Maeda and Choshu look like bickering children :scust:
