McMahon was bored. Moving back to Houston makes absolutely zero sense, especially considering that the roster doesn't even have much impressive potential. Jalen's very good, Sengun is alright, the rest....meh.
It doesn’t make sense roster wise but I wouldn’t be surprised if Harden gets moved by next season. I’m expecting another disappointing postseason.

That roster could desperately use Harden’s playmaking skills on offense. Not to mention they will have a shytload of cap space in the off-season and another top pick to add to the mix.

Also, don’t forget he’s not the only person that’s been mentioning Harden going back to Houston even going back to the off-season.

It just doesn't make any sense for a 33 year old future HOF playing a with a top 5 star searching for a title to demand a trade to a likely 20 win team with no shot at winning anything for at least 3 seasons. Harden, Middleton, and Jalen Green isn't winning anything. Harden hasn't shown any signs of slacking or being displeased with Embiid and last night he put up 31-7-7 in a win over the Grizzlies.

It's just another case of writers desperate for clicks. Logic just doesn't work in this scenario.

He doesn’t have to be frustrated or displeased with Embiid to want to go back to Houston. The rumors of him wanting to go back were mainly because of him wanting to be closer to family and even SAS and Jalen both mentioned that before the season started. Also don’t forget that he helped two of his former Houston buddies along with him.

He doesn’t have to demand a trade to Houston as they can easily sign him outright in the off-season. The latter is an important detail as they could easily rebuild on the fly with the right coach, cap space they have and assets that they could use to flip elsewhere.

Too many people are mentioning him wanting to go back for there not to be some truth to the rumors.

Why would he leave a contender to join arguably the worst roster in the League? :dead:

If Jalen Green looked like a future Superstar and they got Wemby, I could maybe sort of get it but these cacs are just clutching at straws.
Both Jalen and SAS mentioned it in the off-season as well. Him and Philly obviously had a wink wink deal in the off-season to take care of him come contract time which is why he left money on the table, so there’s no need to use Houston as leverage.
