Is this a good or bad thing?
GotG 3 is his farewell to the MCU. It's done so he can move on unfettered.given what he did with peacemaker and the suicide squad, I been saying that warner should give him the keys to the kingdom.
my only question is what does this mean for guardians of the galaxy 3?
I hope james gunn continues to lean into the rated R content going forward.
Luke coached the warriors to a bunch of wins too.
The first one was fine. The other one was mid. The jokes aren’t it for me and I don’t find Pratt compelling.
1. momoa brought some people to the table that you've never experienced. Grown women.
This,
DC gonna be permantly corny now.
There's a difference between guiding the general direction of the film cinematic universe and writing the script and jokes to every single movie. Gunn has an approach that has proven successful in both DC and Marvel film universes. He ain't being hired to write every script to every movie just like Kevin Feige doesn't do that.
Dc doesn’t have a house style and I doubt a director would want to force his style on others since he understands their position. As long as they cut down on the dudebro humor I think it'll be okay. Will Gunn let other directors share their vision, or will he be like a Feige where everything goes through him. Keep Taiki Waititi away.
even if u hate his humor.. he understands story and character. BTW- Thor: Love and Thunder wasn't Gunn and it was super corny.... Gunn wasn't the problem with the humor over at the MCU...
Yea this is why I don't understand why people are acting like he's writing every script and even still I love GOTG, The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. There's a difference between guiding the general direction of the film cinematic universe and writing the script and jokes to every single movie. Nah, the problem with Love and Thunder is that it was the good old fashioned Contractually Obligated Film.
I'll judge DC's success on how many characters they can move up to A-List household names.
Who's ready to breakout? Who can they get over the hump? That's what I'm waiting to see.
