with no batman in it just seems like sony doing these villain movie without spiderman. the penguin just felt different because it's a continuation of the movie and it was a tv show.
Except you got talented creatives behind it, not business execs announcing plans for every non Spiderman character to get a movie. At one point there were plans for an Aunt May movie.

Clayface in the Matt Reeves version of Batman would have potential to be the greatest superhero movie of all time. On some T2 T-1000 level special effects type shyt :ohlawd:

This solo movie will, even if it's enjoyable will feel empty and be nothing more to me than a Saturday night crappy weather movie.

The potential of him vs Batman not being done is a brutal miss.

That being said if they are going to make this a horror flick go ahead and make it rated R

The fly? That.....sounds like super powered Clayface to me :pachaha: So this is clearly DC version that Batman would have to deal with not Matt Reeves version

they say Matt Reeves wants to do a Trilogy (w Pt 2 being 2026) but then I hear Gunn wants to let Reeves finish before they do the DCU Bat flick, but then they fast track Clay Face which will be DCU and not Elseworld

I'm interested in this, but it has to be a very a compelling and different than the usual villain stuff we get.

We hear that DC brass will be hearing pitches from potential filmmakers next week, some of the key candidates being Truth or Dare‘s Jeff Waldow and Speak No Evil‘s James Watkins.

At the same time, there’s some buzz out there that the casting process has begun on Clayface. Once a filmmaker is attached, DC and said director will mull on the actors who are being assessed. Whoever is chosen as director will also weigh in on their casting choices.
