This is true for companies who use minority owned or female owned to game the system. White Wifey owns the company but White Hubby does all the real work and makes all the real decisions.NOT FOUNDED.
They may have gotten minority CEOS, but the boards are white, the founders are white, and the execs are white.

Working for a company isn't necessarily a bad thing. You can use it to learn new skills without any of the risks that come with running your own business. Not too mention you can use it to network which could come in handy later. Working a couple years learning skills and stacking up paper while you research business ideas, risks, what to avoid etc is a lot smarter then general militant talk of "own your own companies"
I think it helps that most of the minorities that get an opportunity in Silicon Valley look up to white culture and want to emulate it anyway.....

Look at a company photo of google or yahoo .......while I believe you as far as what you have seen and experienced in the area you work in......fact is the heads of these companies (google and yahoo etc.) have many whites at the top and a bunch of white investors on top of them. End of the day...whatever diversity challenge or irreverence Asian and Indian cultures have for white culture it certainly isn't showing up in the final product. So either the numbers you talkin bout are small or they just talkin that shyt in front of brehs. there is also a big segment of asians that aren't vassals for holding up white culture, they're simply indoctrinated into merit based reward as it's the way of their culture. white people in CA have been waging war against asians ever since they repealed affirmative action and realized that underrepresented minorities weren't the only ones benefitting, they (whites) couldn't even compete with asians (thus the heavily asian UC system)...asian folks aint sitting around serving white massa, they're serving cacs (as in doing better than them).

Companies out here are usually started by white people, the ones with Asian/indian founders find themselves having to have a white male on their leadership team for funding.
