i don't even think money matters that much anymore

hillary and kamala both outraised trump. but it's 2025; the only people going to in-person rallies, are the people who vote republican or democrat anyway. cable tv is dying, commercials are whatever

people are forming political opinions off their smartphones, and how their wallets feel. nothing else
Correct. You can’t beat the “they/them” ad :wow:

Thats a reductive ass take. He literally lays it out: Stop reacting to everything because the public doesn't respond (hence voting for Trump again). Let him do what he was gonna do anyway, don't vote for his shyt, and pounce with an actual message when he inevitably tanks his goodwill will even his own base.

JC is half right.

Dems need to let America marinate in this GOP stew. People gotta learn the hard way. Let Trump/Elon/Patel/RFK/Tulsi etc., get all the shine so we can see how much they suck at governing.

What Carville doesn't address correctly is the Dems response. They can't just roll the same tired playbook. When it's time to attack, they gotta bring fire. Jasmine Crockett and AOC...that's the temperature that Dems need to be maintaining. Anger. Fire. Facts. Progressive policy with a populist slant.....but they gotta hold for a little while.

America made a stupid, fukking, dumbazz decision. They need to understand and feel the consequences of that stupid, fukking, dumbazz decision.

I think the solution will emerge in the GOP chaos. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to have the right contrast.

This is a reductive ass strategy, you know what the public doesn't respond to? Impotence, its fukking passive and weak, its signaling that you are weak your party is weak your ideas are weak your strategy is weak and voters don't want to be lead by fukking weak people.…

The messaging IS “we do nothing” we are the “do nothing democracts” ….what the hell are you talking about “pounce with a message” they just had a chance to do that in November and failed now they've been reduced to taking advice from archaic 70 year olds who tells them to lean into their self destructive absentee stereotype.…Carville is telling you the message... its completely moronic but when you like to lose this is the shyt you amplify :mjlol:
The problem with the "Do something!" people is they don't understand that Democrats CAN'T.
Exactly, they are the “do nothing democracts” and are planning to let an old geezer tell them to brand themselves as such :dead:print up the “we can't” number stickers. It'll be apt.

*Sigh* bruh, you are being obtuse. Biden saved the pensions of the Teamsters two years ago just for them to juelz and not give the Democrats an endorsement this past cycle. I can list more examples if you like, but "do nothing" is a misnomer. If there is something SPECIFIC people wanted done that wasn't that is one thing, but nothing kept enough people happy because the cost of things were rising. Much like the rest of the world, anyone who was in office during inflation lost seats whether it was their faults or not

So, you you say they had no message in December?

I promise you, if you look through that and say "No they didn't", I can find prominent examples of yes they did. One thing that never gets enough attention is that people get a lot of their info from social media. Wanna know something?

-1x-1.webp

:unimpressed:This was Trumps inauguration posse. Wanna know how many of them control information media? Hint: ALL of them.
They were all in for Trump. No matter what the message is, the algorithms are king.

Are the Dems operating at all like a smart party broadly? fukk no. They are also in no position to do anything about the Republican agenda. It's literally public sentiment that drives what is happening and you can probably agree that most people feel Dems have been crying wolf about Trump. With enough talking about how bad he is and will be, people tuned out. Add in voter purges, ballot purges, lawsuits, vote challenges, polling place closures, etc, its not like Kamala lost this gigantic margin. Currently they just don't have the numbers. What SHOULD they be doing?

I have an answer: tour the country and hear people out. Let them be heard and tell that what's happening. Also, oppose everything privately and publicly. What is your answer?

I thought he was stupid and these motherfukkers came out today passing a bill that will cut Medicaid, SNAP, and Pell Grants. Things there voters use the majority of.

Then one of them got on camera and said federal employees don’t deserve jobs because they produce nothing…. Like she ain’t a federal employee.

what do you want them to do, with the nonexistent power they have right now? let's hear specifics
"Why won't the guy with no gun not SHOOT THE VILLAIN! :damn: "

As much as these bum ass corporate Dems annoy me, ain't shyt they can do and dummies keep pretending its just a choice :russ:

Meanwhile the House just passed this continuing resolution:

Says it right in the text :unimpressed:

The resolution includes reconciliation instructions that direct 11 House committees to submit legislation that will increase or decrease the deficit over FY2025-FY2034 and increase the statutory debt limit by specified amounts. The committees must submit the legislation to the House Budget Committee by March 27, 2025.

(Under current law, reconciliation bills are considered by Congress using expedited legislative procedures that prevent a filibuster and restrict amendments in the Senate.)

In addition, the resolution establishes a reserve fund that allows certain adjustments to committee allocations and other budgetary levels to accommodate reconciliation legislation.

The resolution also requires the maximum deficit increase permitted by the reconciliation instruction for the House Ways and Means Committee ($4.5 trillion in the resolution) to be reduced if the proposals submitted by certain committees do not achieve a total of at least $2 trillion in net deficit reduction (or increased if more than $2 trillion in deficit reduction is achieved).

Finally, the resolution sets forth budget enforcement procedures that address issues such as adjustments to committee allocations and the budgetary treatment of the discretionary administrative expenses for the Social Security Administration and the U.S. Postal Service.
:unimpressed:No filibusters, less amendments. If the Republicans want it, it will pass. The folks doing the most about Dem's doing something clearly don't know how this shyt works.

how come no one in the thread is naming what they want Dems to do :heh: they're powerless. it is what it is

MAGA wanted republicans to "fight" in 2021. and you know what republicans did? nothing. complained on fox news and twitter. because they had no power
How about they just do what they campaigned on? Isn't Trump doing exactly what he said he would do? Didn't Republicans in Congress fight Obama all the way. Didn't Republicans fight Bill Clinton his two terms. What have Democrats done besides roll over and play dead?
