The Deep State
Yup. And it's defeatist as fukk to say "Do nothing" but guess what? We have a felonious President who is betraying our allies and siding with dictators. No amount of "Dems: save us" is going to fix this. They dismantled the election cyber security task force, fired JAGs who are literally military lawyers...this election has the most consequences of any in a LONG fukking time. If somehow Democrats pulled a rabbit out of a hat, no lessons will be learned.

If Trump died today, we still have long-term consequences to deal with due to his fukking over allies (Ukraine being a huge blemish) like Canada who always bent over backward for us, and he exposed the system's weaknesses so hard that constitutional amendments will need to be passed in order to fix DEMOCRACY ITSELF. More people need to pay fukking attention. We were told what was coming and a great deal of the country did not know and/or did not give a fukk.

He isnt wrong

March 14th is the deadline before a shutdown if a budget gets past.

If the Democrats enable the prepubs by voting with republicans to pass a budget they will face political hell.

The Democrats should be seeking to completely rewrite the rule book if the Mike Johnson needs them that badly.

Republicans are anti social narcissists, they simple cant be trusted.

Democrats better vote no to any budget proposal that cuts Medicaid, social security, other benefits in anyway.

:hubie: they would be fools and I would view them as much a proper enemy as proper right wingers (democrats are right wing)

Voting no to everything and telling Jeffries to stop being such a damn wimp would be nice. No more of that "We can find common ground" shyt. Not that that is all he has done, but people misquote him all the time (the "What leverage do we have?" soundbite) and he just sounds like "Aww shucks, guys, lets get along."

I'm of the mind that they should do like Bernie. It isn't efficient in terms of doing their jobs but they have no choice in Congress. Just tour the USA, ALL 50 states, in groups telling people what is going on. When congress is in session, say no to everything. Camera comes out? Adopt that Crockett energy

KEEP talking about whats going on in red and blue districts and let Everybody be heard. Like Carville said, and I don't care for him, it won't be long until Trumps entire administration step on too many toes. They then need a unified message but it clearly will only work after getting people mad. Stop being fukking reasonable cause that shyt doesn't work in politics anymore. Whip people up but don't make that shyt feel like pep rallies. REALLY engage townhalls and have folks ringing their representatives off the hooks. People are going to be mad anyway. Direct that shyt. Them folks are going to cheat in elections. They backlash has to be too big to rig. Anything less than an absolutely feverish backlash won't steer us away from facism. We literally have like a calendar year to fukk Trump up and the Dems need to step up on their end because people are going to be in the streets even more soon.

I dont mind this idea in theory but in practice Americans will forget about republicans fukkign everything over within 1-2 years

so theres not much value in this
yeah, typically, a recession isn't gonna last much longer than a year or two

even if trump crashes shyt next month.....there's a scenario where they just lie that "he inherited a disaster from biden", and by october 2026.....the country is on the way back up. and he gets to play "savior" :snoop:

Bruh, this ain't like terminal cancer. We already headed to shytsville BUT folks gonna need to push back. It's not like they can't unseat Trump. You literally get a congressional majority to impeach and unseat him (don't see it happening but it is an avenue) and it will be time to put the pieces back together. There is no option at this point to just sit it out. That goes for us and the representatives.

We’re the “do nothing democracts” y'all, vote for us!!! :mjlol:
Thats a reductive ass take. He literally lays it out: Stop reacting to everything because the public doesn't respond (hence voting for Trump again). Let him do what he was gonna do anyway, don't vote for his shyt, and pounce with an actual message when he inevitably tanks his goodwill will even his own base.

The problem with the "Do something!" people is they don't understand that Democrats CAN'T. The constant reactions to Trump turns people off, so the best thing is to let them see it. Anything else does not work, especially if people's reaction to it is yours. Literally ignore context just like most voters seem to do.

So business as usual, genius.
Not quite. Carville is a dipshyt, but in this case, it's right. The only caveat is they should be doing what Bernie is doing and hit the road talking to people in all states. Also, stop chasing fukking corporate dollars. Small dollars should be the name of the game. Everything they did to resist and reverse Trumps damage was completely ignored in Nov 2024. What can they do, other than obstruct, that will meaningfully move the needle?

i don't even think money matters that much anymore

hillary and kamala both outraised trump. but it's 2025; the only people going to in-person rallies, are the people who vote republican or democrat anyway. cable tv is dying, commercials are whatever

people are forming political opinions off their smartphones, and how their wallets feel. nothing else

Eh, money does to a degree, because people who give money expect favors. Better that the favors they give are too voters.

Not to mention Trump ran a fugazi ass Trans add that roped some people in among other things. Having money lets you invest in the lower races too. The big national ones aren't the only ones needing funding. While people are getting their news from other sources, political ads are still being bought on those mediums. Influencers are being paid, etc.
