Now post all the times you were wrong

Point is you shouldn’t get on a high horse as if your scouting is top notch when you have some atrocious takes

What matters is how big I've hit on my so-called "hot takes". All you need is to land a few superstars in the draft to create a dynasty. My record thus far shows I've been excellent at spotting the superstars and avoiding the big busts.

someone explain the cade hype cuz i dont get it...

Most people are idiots who follow the herd. I saw the same thing with Markelle Fultz in 2017. Never understood how he went from middle of the road 5-star prospect in his class to all of a sudden being the consensus #1 overall pick. His rise was weird as fukk. Before 2017 we were hearing about Tatum, Giles, and Jackson. Then outta nowhere Fultz passes them up. Feel the same way about this Cade Cunningham guy. At this time last year, I never heard of him while I've been hearing about Green for years. Then all of a sudden he's the consensus #1 overall pick. Even before I watched his tape I knew something was wrong with his hype.

Philly bouls, Trust the Process
Had 30/5/7 in his final G-league game against the Raptors 905, the best team in the G-league.
It's a shame we got such a small sample of them due to Covid, but there's no doubt the kid is special :wow:
He's a natural shot creator and difficult shot maker from all three levels with off the charts athleticism. Continuing to grow as a 3PT shooter and passer will be key, I think he can get there. From what I've seen he seems to have the intangibles to be a great. Lowkey gives me Zach LaVine vibes

I still have Cade ahead of him, but there's no doubt Jalen has superstar potential, and I wouldn't be shocked if he were the better player

I like both Jalen Suggs and Jalen Green over Cade. Jalen Green will be very good, high motor and pushes himself to try and win games unlike most players his age.

you just like him because he gets Kobe comparisons and does his best work on iso.

That said, the Cade Cunningham as a lock at #1 talk is a little crazy. If he can't run point he becomes a slow ass SG.
At 6’8 he’s not a point forward?

I do like Jalen Green, as I recall I was the first person to report of him going the G league route, I’ve been following him for a while now.

But @Swagnificent has a Jordan/Kobe basketball fetish. He salivates over guys who he thinks can become like them. I get it, those my favorite players too but easy on Basketball Guru talk. :mjlol:

Me personally, Cade Cunningham never really "pops off the screen" for me. The fact that he looks so unathletic in college should be a bit of a red flag. I mean, Luka looked slow-ish in the Euroleague, but that's the second best basketball league in the world.

Can't argue with the results, but Cade doesn't pop off the screen. But again, can't argue with the results.

This kid here though, he POPS OFF THE SCREEN. He's freakish and he's extremely active

How does Cade not pop but Lamelo did? (Granted I’ll admit i was wrong about Lamelo because of his size and lack of shooting coming into the league).

Did y’all like Lamelo’s burst off the dribble and not in love with Cades? Cause Cades physique will translate. He isn’t as explosive as Jalen but he gets where he wants and get up whatever shot he wants to at every level.

He does :manny:
That natural talent of three-level scoring + uber athleticism as skinny ~6'5" SGs
Exactly. Those are 2 deadly traits. Plus he’s got a sick first step. Once he gets some muscle on his frame it’s gonna be good night cause he’s surprisingly not scared of contact for a kid his size.

I hate the Zach Lavine comp he’s been getting. People see the vert, slight build, and scoring they think it’s a perfect comp. But at similar stages of their development they are completely different. Jalen is a natural born slasher and finisher. Took years in the NBA for Lavine to develop even some of that. Jalen as a sophomore in high school was a better finisher around the rim than Lavine.
See my post from earlier. I get that that’s gonna be the surface comp people will throw out but they are just very different style players
