Cade's a 6'8 point forward who's a legit 3-level scorer, so he is gonna be the consensus #1 overall (especially in the wake of all this Luka and LaMelo hype) but this kid is right behind him; don't let y'alls opinion of Swag and his unorthodox player "evaluation" methods (
) fool y'all. 19 years old and not even 180 lbs soaking wet yet he had no problems making grown ass professional ball players look slow and lost on defense. Like LaMelo was getting crazy props just for shooting ~30% on a losing team in Australia; Jalen Green in the wake of all the corona craziness averaged 18 PPG on good efficiency and led his team to the G-League playoffs with a winning record. Dropped 30 against the #1 seeded 905 Raptors in his final game for Ignite
Even if he's not the #1 overall prospect I think he is by far the most bust-proof of everyone in this draft; as good as they look there's no 100% guarantee guys like Cade overcome their athletic deficiencies against NBA competition or the rawer upside picks like Mobley and Kuminga develop the way you hope they do. But I have no doubt whatsoever that this kid will be blowing by defenders and getting buckets the second he hits the league; no way the speed, body control, and shot making doesn't translate. And his upside if he learns how to run an NBA offense is sky high...
He'd look damn good next to that boy Zion too of course
