He’s at least #2 for sure. Jalen Suggs has no swag IMO. No one with any type of swag goes to Gonzaga lmao. Suggs reminds me of Evan Turner. Don’t know why he’s ranked ahead of Jalen Green. Cunningham is better than Green tho. As long as Jalen Green doesn’t go to minny, Cleveland or Orlando then I’m straight. His game is too flashy to not be seen.

I wrote an article about Jalen 3 years ago. Dude is special. I can’t wait to see what he becomes. I used to comp him as Kobe/MJ lite but I don’t think he he’s the same length as them. Right now I’m thinking a suped up Bradley Beal. His body control at the rim is god tier.

He has the hang time of a Shane Lechler punt. Body control and scoring are two elite traits he has.

Put some respek on Domantas Sabonis' name :birdman:

I don’t think Jonathan is better now but he definitely has the potential to be. He’s a monster. Dude is 18 with a grown mans body. When he puts it together he will be scary. Those 2 are 2 of my favorite prospects in years.

you just like him because he gets Kobe comparisons and does his best work on iso.

And whats wrong with that? Kobe is as good a comp as any for him. I personally think his build and athleticism is more inline with a young Michael Jordan than Kobe.

And iso ball is the most entertaining form of basketball to watch. Especially when its from geniuses like Jordan and Kobe.

I'm a Kuminga truther and as someone who got to watch the Ignite plenty, the team performed the way he did. Green played really well as the season progressed but the team struggled because Kuminga struggled and was banged up.

:mjlol: Don’t do this to ya self Breh. I like Green but he’s gonna have to end up in a blank slate type situation for him to succeed. I thought his handles were better than what they are and he’s built small.

I do like green tho, it’s just if he ends up on the warriors he’ll be waiting years.

Jordan didn't look too special at 19 either. Took him a minute to become the Michael Jordan we know today. I believe Jalen Green can follow a similar progression. He's nowhere close to his ceiling as a player. What he has right now are the tools for greatness. Its on him to maximize them to their full potential like Mike eventually did.

His hype up to now was built on the backs of teenage girls, and we know you like what they like

Exactly. Those are 2 deadly traits. Plus he’s got a sick first step. Once he gets some muscle on his frame it’s gonna be good night cause he’s surprisingly not scared of contact for a kid his size.

I hate the Zach Lavine comp he’s been getting. People see the vert, slight build, and scoring they think it’s a perfect comp. But at similar stages of their development they are completely different. Jalen is a natural born slasher and finisher. Took years in the NBA for Lavine to develop even some of that. Jalen as a sophomore in high school was a better finisher around the rim than Lavine.

So now you think Jalen Green will be the greatest player of all time? That’s his trajectory according to you?

I Remember when you said Chandler Hutchinson was the next Pippen.

100% agreed. I was surprised at his passing and defensive ability. And his middie :banderas:. He’s gonna be cold one day. I watched every non ESPN+ game ignite played. Then caught the highlights of the others. Early on he had me swaying to him over Green. He’s shown some ridiculous flashes. In a way it reminded me of when I used to watch Kansas cause Wiggins and stuck around cause Embiid. His potential is undeniable. He has all the tools plus he looks like he has a natural affinity to the post that I wasn’t expecting.

I think Cade is more polished and I guess the better player of the bunch right this second but I’m taking both of them over him imo.

Post the article.
It’s not the best but I’ll post it :lolbron:. Back when I was trying to start blogging

Up Next: Jalen Green

My favorite aspect of sports is finding young, unrefined high school players or underrated draft prospects and watching them grow through the years.

It’s honestly probably the reason I watch basketball. And as a huge Kobe Bryant/ Michael Jordan fan I’ve been borderline obsessed with finding the next transcendent player with their same style. And after years of watching hundreds of Youtube highlights titled thing like ” Number 1 Overall Recruit. The Next Kobe Bryant??”, I think I’ve finally found the one.

His name is Jalen Green. He’s a 6’6″ 16 year old from Fresno, California, and he has the potential to be the next Kobe Bryant.

Strengths:

Explosiveness

Lateral Quickness

Ball Handling

Passing

Shot- making at All 3 Levels

Creative Finishing

When it comes to Jalen Green, there is really nothing not to like about his game. He checks every box you’d want in a future star. As a prospect, he’s the total package. When you look at the tape, his level of skill combined with athleticism is rare. usually at 16, a player as athletic as Jalen, has a terrible handle or a broken jumper. That’s not the case with Jalen. He has made huge strides as a shooter and he’s a natural ballhander. To me, the traits that sets Jalen apart from other prospects are his elite quickness with the ball coupled with his body control/ creative finishing around the rim. This elite feel around the rim can’t be learned. You either have it or you don’t, and Jalen has it in excess.

Weaknesses:

Weight/ Strength

Shooting

Honestly, looking for weaknesses in Jalen’s game at this point in his development is grasping at straws. Right now he is skinny, but what 16 year old prospect isn’t? He also could work on the consistency of his jumper, also like most 16 year olds. Basically his weakness is that he’s young. If he works hard, natural progression will fix these “weaknesses”.

Conclusion

Overall, I can honestly say I haven’t been this excited for a prospect in year, maybe even ever. Jalen is the real deal. The next transcendent star in the NBA. Hopefully, the one and done rule is gone by 2020 so he can go straight to the league. He’s still very young, but if he keeps working, the sky is the limit for this young man.
