I think where dudes get jaded is when, in the absence of an older male figure to put them on to game, youngins will start out listening to actual females about what they want and trying to emulate that. Then we later realize that you lied to us because your actions (who you actually choose) don't reflect your words (the kind of guy you said you'd choose). So we become disenchanted. I'm sure everyone has already said that though
