The blood pressure and cholesterol debate has been a big back and forth between me and doctors I've seen over the years.

I personally believe that the readings don't mean sht, it's your lifestyle.

You can have whatever the bad blood pressure range or bad cholesterol range but still be fine if you're living healthy.

They just want to give you the drugs.
They tell you that all these skinny, great condition people got high blood pressure or high cholesterol genetically...but they don't say how many die from it.
U see mainly fat people, smokers, drug users etc dying

So I would have to know what type of life Jacoby was living during his NFL career and after.

I got really sick due to high blood pressure. Black men especially need to realize our bodies aren’t built to take on all this salt and stress. You can be in shape and still be sick. Go to your doctor regularly and check your blood pressure. Cut salt…cut sugar too…don’t want diabetes.

High blood pressure is game over. So yes, the readings do matter.

Damn dude was a world class athlete and died in his 40s from high blood pressure :francis:
In order to maintain that physique, them boys take shyt that beats up the heart, unfortunately. Add that with the actual rigors of a professional sport, and you have the perfect recipe for an early demise. :francis:
Real talk, How do you go to gym constantly and not have cardio incorporated even somewhat. Something like 10 min pre or post would do wonders.
I hit 10 minutes on the elliptical to finish off the workout once I'm done strength training.

There's people just naturally have high blood pressure

Indeed but it is important do to whatever you can to bring it down or at least monitor it. Heart disease is a silent killer. Yes tiu can take medication but medication has side effects, the best thing is to try to live a healthy life. Less reliance on medication the better.

Mine the same and I'm 33

That is high for your age. Doctor says it’s normal likely because you are black and we tend to have higher blood pressure, but it doesn’t mean you should accept it.
