But Furious came before Transformers.

Waiste deep:mjlol:

But Annapolis and Four Bros I remember. Point was, he's been in a lot of sh1t, but Furious set him up for a lot of sh1t. He's not particularly good @ acting

That's like only 3 movies. That's not a lot of movies. Sam L. Jackson, Liam Neeson, THEY have been in a lot of movies.

Ludacris has played the character Tej in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise since the second installment, but in all actuality, he received the role because Ja Rule felt he was too big to take it on.

"Ja got too big for himself. He turned it down. He turned down a half a million dollars," recalls John Singleton, the prized director of the film, in an email to Grantland. "He was really big at that time. I guess Murder Inc. was throwing out hits and were making money hand over foot. He was acting like he was too big to be in the sequel. He wouldn't return calls. I went to the studio to go see him — that's just my mantra, I deal with a lot of music people. He was kinda playing me to the side and I was like, 'What? What is this sh*t?' This was all initiated by me. I then made a call. I called Ludacris."

And $236 million later, it's a safe bet that Ja Rule is somewhere watching Furious 7 wishing he was a part of the 16th-highest-grossing movie franchise in history.

yea but at the time noone knew itd turn into what it did. the star left, franchise wasnt lookin like it was gonna last
It was 500k to do what, 2-3 small scenes in a sequel to a hit movie?

Even if the movie was a complete flop, it would have no negative effect on him.

I'm sure he could've found time to film the 2-3 scenes while shooting that Steven Seagal/Morris Chestnut blockbuster.

yea, ja might be second guessing this decision, but something about putting the man's business on front street (i'm talking about the money) dont sit right with me....that's nothing to say to the press unless you have a problem with that person, and you still might not say it then...but saying it makes it seem like john is still holding some type of resentment/anger towards ja...
