Just cause I don't love the fact that he did a song with Justin Bieber, or love the fact that Kanye did a song with Katy Perry or love the fact that Jeezy was on a Rihanna single doesn't mean that I hate on them for doing features. The real question is when will Big Sean drop anything alone that people are interested in?

He's got to start dropping more solo shyt, show up solo, do shyt solo. Drop At least 1 solo single or something.

No I didn't mean Cole hasn't made an impact on the game, I meant he hasn't made an impact or any strides towards becoming a legend or a great in hip-hop, and when I first heard The Come Up I truly thought he had the potential to do that. I still do believe he has the potential to do so, but it seems he's content to make his mark as just another face in the crowd with mediocre pop singles. I thought he valued the art over the sales and it doesn't seem like it anymore, I won't hate if he's eatin' good and living comfortably and he's happy with his position that's his decision, I just wanted more, or at least different, from him. If you don't believe he's regressed I can't really argue with your opinion or taste in music, but to me he's fallen off hard since The Come Up. Look at Kendrick for example, he just dropped an album that will solidify his place in hip-hop regardless of what he does going forward, and if he happens to show any progression or at least keeps pace with GKMC he will become a legend and possibly one of the greats. By no means am I saying Cole is trash, even his mediocre music is better than almost all of the garbage in mainstream hip-hop today.

I'd have to disagree...I think The Warm Up and FNL are better than the Come up...in regards to Sideline Story...I think Cole overthought it too much...a handful of those songs were written 3-4 years ago...kinda hard to say he regressed when several song on the Sideline Story were in his vault for a while....he had some gems on there though..


I agree though, I expect more from Cole...and I think we're gonna get it...he achieved his goal getting his name out there on his first album...I think moving forward he's going to give us great music...kinda hard to mention legend after one album...in regards to K.Dot...I enjoyed GKMC, but I think its a tad overrated, it's not a classic, and I'm not sure its better than Section 80...looking forward to the Cole & Kendrick album for sure though...

I like Cole, but the dude dropped the ball when he passed on those NO ID beats (Tears of Joy, and My Last)
Really hope he doesn't drop the ball with Born Sinner which is obviously getting pushed back lol

I agree with this...I saw several interviews of Cole saying he wanted to do a majority of the production on his first album....hopefully he branches out and spazzs on these other producers beats..

I have faith in Cole. His first album was drab at times, but the tail-end was killer. He has the potential, and using other producers with the RocNation connections will definitely help him
