the fact you think he's regressed..

...you think Cole hasn't made an impact on the game...but a #1 album, going gold...platinum single, and two gold singles....yet he hasnt made an impact on the game...he's got ONE album

No I didn't mean Cole hasn't made an impact on the game, I meant he hasn't made an impact or any strides towards becoming a legend or a great in hip-hop, and when I first heard The Come Up I truly thought he had the potential to do that. I still do believe he has the potential to do so, but it seems he's content to make his mark as just another face in the crowd with mediocre pop singles. I thought he valued the art over the sales and it doesn't seem like it anymore, I won't hate if he's eatin' good and living comfortably and he's happy with his position that's his decision, I just wanted more, or at least different, from him. If you don't believe he's regressed I can't really argue with your opinion or taste in music, but to me he's fallen off hard since The Come Up. Look at Kendrick for example, he just dropped an album that will solidify his place in hip-hop regardless of what he does going forward, and if he happens to show any progression or at least keeps pace with GKMC he will become a legend and possibly one of the greats. By no means am I saying Cole is trash, even his mediocre music is better than almost all of the garbage in mainstream hip-hop today.

:dwillhuh: u think the come up is better than the warm up or fnl, if so why are u in this thread, that mixtape came out in 07, warm up and fln and CW came out, its been a good 6 years and u talkin bout rappin over other nikkaz beats are better than the perfect songs he crafted on fln and warm up, what are u hoping for, like why u still checking for him if he aint rap like u want him to for 6 years

and 99% of people would say the come up is his worst piece of work

I didn't listen to The Come Up til like 08-09 and I used that as a general timeline, I loved The Warm Up too. I still check for him cause like I said even his mediocre stuff is better than 99% of the music comin out today. The thread is titled "J. Cole...What A Disappointment" that sounds like the perfect title to come in and critique Cole, who is a disappointment to me also. There isn't an artist in the world that does exactly what I'd like to see them do, but when they execute that correctly it helps you see things their way and hopefully grow and learn from it and be entertained by it, which Cole hasn't done any of that for me in a while, that's why I posted in a thread about how much of a disappointment he's been.

I'm dead serious. Drake is one of the best rappers out. Dude is far wittier, has a better command of speech, and does more with words than Cole does.

Lest you forget Drake hasn't slipped on a feature like...ever.

j cole is way better than drake especially lyrically

Big Sean>J.Cole right now

Miss America flopped so hard :pachaha:

Once this album drops it going to be funny watching everybody on here jump on the bandwagon
Is this clockwork, you've dropped this post a million times.
Last time you said Who Dat, that other Workout track flopped so hard

Once Seans album drops everyone is gonna jump on the bandwagon.
Cole is gonna flop..

What happened? Cole sold 2.5x what Sean sold first week and a bunch of records more total.

Sean is my mans, I hope he has it in him to separates himself from the biggest artists out and drops successful singles on his own. So he can finally stand on his own two like his peers Kendrick, Cole, Drake, Wiz etc.. And when are you gonna get in your head that people fukk with Sean, they're just not acting like they're on UMG's marketing division and a drunk groupie who wants to suck his dikk at the same damn time and they will never do that either.

And a year later he cold as ice. Whereas Sean has gotten bigger and bigger without even dropping a album. Dropped "Detroit" which is considered one of the best mixtapes this year. Was featured on many hit records. Guap is on its way to being a hit record (All by himself). :what: Cole had a feature on every single outside of Workout. Miss America is a flop that's a fact.

Bla bla bla posted 2010, 2011 and 2012
:troll:

Features

When are you gonna get it, we are hiphop fans. We don't work at Roc Nation or Good Music. At most we might care about you selling albums, anything else regarding label statistics is irrelevant. We spit on your face for doing Justin Bieber collabos, we don't congratulate for that shyt around here :what:. Miss America straight bombs on Guap, J. Cole himself said that this was not something they were sending to radio. I don't give a fukk about Big Sean not selling half the records Cole did, why? Cause Cole's album wasn't even that much better than Seans. They were almost on the same level. Now Kendrick about to double Seans sales, that is something I congratulate.

You won't find a single post of me shytting on Sean and when did I bring up features or any other groupie measurement? the fukk are you talking about troll?

The only criticism I've ever given Sean is that he's too early in his career to bomb his shyt with super stars and use those tracks as singles. And that's from a fans perspective.
The rest of the criticism is directed straight at your fakkit ass.
