this is much better than cadillactica which annoyed the fukk out of me since i'm a big KRIT supporter. that shyt sounds like a borderline christian rap album. :mjlol:

this shyt is dope to me off a couple listens. very positive and i do agree with whoever said he sounds like he's doing a mos def impersonation on some tracks, but it works for me. wet dreamz prob going to end up being my only skip since once you hear it... you don't really need to hear about young j. cole getting his dikk wet for the first time again.

dreamville killed it this year with this... cozz and effect.... last winter.... all of them are top 5 of 2014 easily.

that being said cilvia demo remains atop the mountain as my album/project of the year.

also not sure what the fukk people are talking about saying all his projects sound the same. this shyt sounds NOTHING like his last album which was a grower.

how? :dwillhuh:

where does this moment put j cole? i mean, he has to have risen to some new level of respect. he seems to be from that old school kufi nikka rap that used to get slandered by critics for being boring. but he communicates better than cats like talib who most people outside of rap cant decode. i mean, its pretty clear what j cole talking about. he is easy to undertstand. we might see this nikka be what cube and pe were at the late 80's early 90's. i dont believe in leaders especially rappers. but the best can communicate a moment. cole and killer mike doing that now. only difference is cole is more intelligent than mike. cole was very clear in his politics. he understands the system better than mike. mike would have been up there on some "it aint about black and white" nonsense, giving cacs an easy way out. cole confronting the elephant in the room. these cacs give zero fks about black people, especially poor black people. if they did, we would never be in this situation.
