The question is you got opportunity in your own country and you’re making luxury shyt in a foreign nation. It’s suspect and not helping out your own. This is why I’m skeptical to back to Africa movements. In a way it is a different form of c00nery. It’s wild to make things for strangers and not the people that brought you up. Philly doesn’t have a market for luxury hotels so instead of helping Philly which is full of black people, they’re over there doing this for strangers. It’s baffling. Focusing on Africa when our own people are suffering is abject foolishness. I give African nations kudos and absolutely celebrate cooperated effort but when black Americans put a lot of focus on building Africa up when your momma, poppa, grandma, granddaddy all the way down to the ancestors before the civil war settled and struggled on this land I pause. Making luxury hotels and wanting a pat on the fukking back when the people in the neighborhood you were raised in are probably struggling. It’s c00nery and putting Africanism on a pedestal.
