r&b chicks in the '90s? you do know that most female singers werent getting deals based solely on looks back then right? there were alot of singers that mary looked better than by default. and there were good-looking singers that didnt bother showing off their looks.
and nobody is saying that mary was in the upper-echelon in looks for female singers back then either. she was moreso middle of the pack. but the fact remains that nicas wanted to hit back then and they still do now.
