See, ima be honest. I don't understand none of that "cut eq". I'm still trying to learn the technical side. For now, I just use my ears. I use FL Studio for the music and Cubase for vocals. I mix/master the final product in FL studio.

Gotcha, if you were in Logic, I could help you navigate better. Go to the EQ settings for your master mix. Select channel EQ. I'm pretty sure it has some built in EQ presents like "low cut" this will allow you to cut the bass. The EQ settings should look something like this.

Thanks breh. I just wanted to learn to master my own music without using someone else but I probably will have to try using an expert online mastering service or something. Idk any producers personally.

I used to use Cubase 5 for everything. I'm not all that good at mixing and mastering so more often than not, I'm following along to some tutorial on YouTube for guidance.

I got that part of the game down. It's just understanding it all to do it myself. For example, my kick and bass, I make sure to cut the low frequencies so they are not too boomy. My piano, I tune down the hi and mid frequencies a bit. Percussion instruments, I kick up the hi a bit so they can be crisp. So I got the basics like panning different instruments, etc. I just can't ever get my shyt to come together.

I be on those youtube tutorials too but nobody is using the same combo of FL Studio/Cubase like I am. Everybody using Pro Tools. I can't afford that shyt

Check out waves plug ins. Specifically the Tony Maserati B72, Maserati DRM. API 2500, API 550 and C4 Compressor. You can buy these in a bundle, they're not crazy expensive and the presents are super nice.
