Tough
I do all of that. I have a pair of studio monitors that I use for mixing. I also use a pair of high quality headphones, regular apple headphones, my samsung earbuds and then my car speaker to gauge how the track sounds.Mutual sounds really good to me. The vocals and everything are on point. Listening in headphones now. I feel like you need to eq; lower the highs and raise the bass on your vocals a bit. Or you can add a bit of delay on your main parts. The panning is a really good effect. Those parts sound cleaner than your main vocals in the mix.
I think as long as you have a decent mix and a focused mix, it's listenable for the average person. People listen on shytty headphones, they listen on phone speakers, etc.
But if you're going to mix, listen on studio monitors, speakers, bad headphones and in the car. Then you can guage how well things are sounding and tweak levels. It's helped me a lot the past few years with this music. Along with reading articles and watching youtube.
You don't need super expensive gear, just a really solid condenser mic and interface, plus a little sound proofing. And time of course.
Yeah, ima rework the hi's and bring them down a bit. Nah I never heard of BBE1. Bridge is dope. Standout part of the track.
2. You mastered with lot high end. Hi hats sound like they are clipping a little.
3. First verse the highs were more noticeable...but 2nd verse I think I got used to it or your vocal track was higher.
4. The transitions into the chorus could be more defined. The vamps and harmonies were dope and on point.
5. Nice guitar work on the solo! Could have had a little more volume and beefing up on the EQ.
6. Your vocal arrangement and runs are impeccable. That last belt was ridiculous.
Maybe play around with compression to balance it out.
Do you use the BBE Sonic Maximixer?
Nice overall man. Keep going higher Breh. We appreciate and look forward to these.
