Did an actual low and slow and kept it low and slow. The lower the heart rate, the more fat calories are used as an energy source and the less tired, sore and better for overall conditioning because the body is going to adapt and perform a higher load while utilizing lower heart rate

Here is a higher workout where my heart rate is higher but I burn carbs for energy instead of fat

This is the workout I should be doing 80% of the time.

Yesterday was a lot of form work and conditioning. I had to put it to work today.

20,000 meters.

Psychopath cardio (no music, no tv, just the noise from the fan and the erg). Today was rough. Mentally I couldn't clock in.

But fukk it, take a break if you need a break. I could just wrap it up and go home. Im on the treadmill now, planning to borrow mornings workout and looking forward to it.

I tell people all the time, you can feel bad, feel sorry for yourself, be sad, be depressed, be upset, be confused, lost, anxious, nervous, stressed.....be that way or feel that way while walking around your block, or on a treadmill on a bike (indoor or stationary).

Ain't nothing wrong with that. With my in person sessions twice a week, one day is just a general workout 2 one is all making sure my form is correct, and shyt. Working on specific points like exploding from the ball of my feet, or opening my hip, using my arm to finish. There's plenty of drills out there. All of them are on YouTube but I learned them in person.

Catch drill
Arms only
Finish/release.

You might do 10 reps 3 or 4 times. Then when you put it all together you instantly see results, and you can feel the difference. You'll know when you are just regularly going when you fukk up a stroke.

Funny you say that. My boy bought the Rowing machine strictly from watching House of Cards years ago. And then for whatever reason bought a kayak a few years later and just be out in random lakes/ponds in the KC metro kayaking.

I've never had the space for a rowing machine, or I likely would have bought one.

Hahaha. I went from paddle board to kayak then got a row machine last. I just enjoy the peacefulness of being in the water.

shyt I'll be kayaking in April (when it's nice) in KC.

I got one from shark tank.

Mines is black though :mjpls: .

They are surprising cheap, and even though I have a roof rack. I figure it'll pay for itself before it breaks on its own or I do something dumb and break it myself and by that time I can get what I really want. Which is a rowing shell.

What's a good one to buy for house?

There's no fancy electronics, no subscription, very basic quality parts. You'll break before it breaks. It's the standard in indoor erg. And if you want fancy add-ons like a big screen with workouts and games you can get those. Otherwise there are plenty of free rowing videos you can put on your phone or tablet and just row along to.
