It's time to admit Game of Thrones has surpassed Breaking Bad, The Wire and The Sopranos

This season was weak compared to the first two. and dont get me wrong, I like GoT. What was so shocking? Cersi, a character we already knew was scheming and wasnt going to hold an L killed a bunch of people? Shocking breh.

The reveal of R+L=J finally, Arya killing the Freys, Tommen commiting that, Cersi becoming queen were all pretty shocking especially for casual viewers that don't read the books and all that was one episode

I agree with OP, and breaking bad and the wire are my two fav dramas. GoT took more to get into it tho, where i was hooked on bb after 1 episode.

I'm a Game Of Thrones fan but besides season 1, all other seasons were inconsistent....especially during the middle of the season, most seasons were saved by 1 INCREDIBLE episode towards end of the season.

Also it's best moments on the show rely on shock value....while shows like The Wire & Sopranos rely on plot much more.

GOT is great but it'll never have the reply value like the Wire & Sopranos, GOT best moments won't hit you hard the second time as the first time you watched it.

Iron Throne changing every season, while in the Wire..."King Stay The King"

I think it's only rated highly because it's the white "The Wire"

The wire will never be considered goat. Season 5 was absolutely terrible and season 2 is bad.

crazy...season 2 is arguably the best. only season possibly better was 3....maybe first season too...mainly for nostalgia reasons

Yeah. We weren't supposed to have Skylar. She was just a miserable poorly written bytch. Walt Jr literally was a waste of time. The characters you hated on BB was because they took away from the overall quality. Like that fukking kid in season 2 of The Wire. You hate Joffrey because he's such a smug evil prick who does things to characters we love and empathize with. That's why those characters are great. Their actions and how they become hated are much more meaningful

Or maybe Coli posters only watched Breaking Bad so they could see murder and "boss shyt" so they can't fathom the other aspects of the show as anything other than being shytty.
