But we're not.
I forgot to bring this up when I posted earlier. A while back I read an article from the CEO of Home Depot that said he was afraid for his business because Gen Z just doesn’t have the hands on experience, knowledge, or even care to keep the business afloat. Now, I know automation is going to be bigger than most people can fathom right now, but that’s just one major example of how we are different.
I was born in the 80s and I do woodwork (I posted the arcade I built from the ground up in 2019), I’ve been building and programming computers for 20+ years, do damn near all the maintenance and repairs on my house, can fix my own car to an extent, did electrical work on the HP Data Center Alpharetta, GA and electrical on the GA Dome, woke up to a 60 degree house yesterday and went to the store to get a limit switch to repair my furnace, and I can keep going and going but my point is, I don’t know too many people younger than me that can even know where to start on some of the things us millennials can do
Though discourse in 2021 tried to deepen the distinctions, it’s clear that young people today are forged from the same digital monoculture
It’s Time to Accept That Millennials and Gen Z Are the Same Generation
Whybump
Millennials are Generation Y basically. Then Gen Z is after. The generation after that is irrelevant since they ain’t paying any bills yet.I don't even know the order of this shyt. What comes after generation x and what years were they born?
I made this comp before but it’s not too different to me than how hip hop pretty much lost location specific styles after the internet became prevalent and everyone everywhere was influenced by the same stuff. The internet has made it so everyone can access the same stuff regardless of demographic and it’s just gonna make everyone more alike. The Internet will connect each generation closer. My mother is on TikTok and knows the trends and dances that my niece knows.
There’s nothing major that differentiates generations anymore. Even with COVID-19, children had virtual learning along with college students. They both share that same memory.
You are a cusp basically. Technically a millennial but born late enough to identify with some Gen Z things. I think y'all are called Zillennials. There's a cusp group of Gen X/Millennials called Xennials as well.I'll be 27 in 2 months and I don't know if I'm a Millennial or Gen Z.
There are times when I feel like I'm both and there's times when I feel like I'm more on the Millennial side.
If you're born from 1981-1996 your a millennial.I'll be 27 in 2 months and I don't know if I'm a Millennial or Gen Z.
There are times when I feel like I'm both and there's times when I feel like I'm more on the Millennial side.
Millenials are not young people anymore, and I say that as a millenialThough discourse in 2021 tried to deepen the distinctions, it’s clear that young people today are forged from the same digital monoculture
It’s Time to Accept That Millennials and Gen Z Are the Same Generation
