it's time star wars fans realize the franchise as always been trash

i have to agree, SW is so overrated. i think lightsabers are actually cool, but other than that, the SW universe is basically everything thrown in including the kitchen sink in terms of genre and cultural appropriation.

i totally understand why older people will feel some type of way, but i kinda feel like younger fans are just gassing it up because of how the older people revere it so much.

i don't know breh almost 40 years later the shyt is still one of the most profitable franchises around. you don't stay at the top that long if your name ain't ringin bells on the block no more. it can't all be "older people" keeping the franchise alive.

Of course its trash. Its a spectacle in terms of the effects and action sequences but the storyline and characters are highly unrealistic. Its soap opera quality stuff.

I haven't seen one of these movies more than once. But they are an amazing spectacle, and I will at least see the first of the new star wars based on that and Harrison Ford alone.

It's not, there is an enormous amount of Star Wars fans who are younger than 25.

People have high hopes for these new star wars movies, but like the star trek before, what these blind fans don't realize is the shyt was always trash from the beginning. They can't even make a decent videogame because the source material has always been cookie cutter to begin with.

In 70's a movie like Star Wars could be a hit, because they actually did innovative film making with the models and sets they built. People were high on drugs and were heaven into aliens back then.
If the same movie came out today with no history and all the updated visual effects, people would say it was hot trash.

The acting was bad, just as bad as the prequels, except for Billy Dee Williams and Harrison Ford, because they put their own personalities into the wooden characters. Sir Alec Guiness went to his grave hating star wars and the fact he was apart of it.

Princess Leia is the only bytch in the whole galaxy, makes no sense. And her father was a senator how does that make her a Princess.

The plot makes no sense. The kids who grew up on star wars fail to realize when they first turned flabby and sick, and kept this shytty franchise alive willfully being strung along by Lucas.

Everything creative about the serious is owed to the artist who designed the ships and the practical effects.
The story itself lacks any creative. For example, you have a desert planet, an ice planet, a forest planet, a water planet, and a fire planet. Is this a movie or stages in Legend of Zelda.

lightsabers are gay. Two grown men waving glow sticks at each other is not epic on any stage its fruity.

The myth of star wars being a huge universe is ridiculous, since everything about this Universe only exists in things fans made up or in books that have no connection to the films. Nothing in the films makes you feel like your in this huge galaxy.

"Star Wars" stans will support it no matter what. That's why the good will will last forever. Like I said anything else that hadn't been hot in 30 years would've been abandoned long ago.

Lastly, you can't pick and choose to ignore certain parts of a legacy simply because they're negative. The Wizard years happened, just like the last 3 movies happened. Luckily what came before the fall-off was enough to solidify the legacy, anyway. But you can't rewrite history and say it didn't happen. Let's say the next 3 "Star Wars" movies suck....are we gonna sit here and say those never happened, too? Where does it stop?

What does the 80's have to do with anything? The first 3 are classic. The newest 3 are garbage. Also Lucas didn't have as much to do with the original 3 as he did the latest 3. It's not a big ass mystery why the quality difference is that blatant.

And "KOTOR" isn't canon any more, if it ever was.

Most likely very flashy, probably a hybrid of the originals and prequels. A lot of Star Trek fans said he completely ruined Star Trek and what it stood for.

nikkas really thought episode 3 was good?

1-2 was a snooze fest and I was hoping for it to pay off in episode 3 but nah one of worst story lines in the history movies.
This nikka anakin went to the dark side because he was having nightmares. They couldn't think of a better reason for him to go to the dark side and the typical cliche, he only did it for love.

If you consider the whole of the movies you got 2 good ones Return and Empire. 2 solid ones Hope and Revenge and half a trash one Attack (After they get nabbed the movie gets better) and a trash one Phantom Menace.

That's a decent track record.
