There are way too many white male egos in WWE for them to ever have a black champion. If a black man were ever given the belt, he'd probably get "heat in the back" for it. :francis:
Rock was the face of the company at the height of its popularity.

Rock was "the guy" in my eyes but a lot of fans deflect that and say Austin had the bigger peak.

I often wonder if they let Trips get the better of Rock in 2000 because they didn't want him to get too much bigger than Austin.
austin was bigger within wrestling for sure

but rock was absolutely the face of the company in 2001.

i think velveteen dream has mad potential to be a big star.

I'm telling you all now and you can quote this post after Wrestlemania 35: it's going to be Jason Jordan. Has almost everything going for him. Physical beast, talent in the ring, age is definitely on his side And most importantly he has Vince on his side. You see how they been grooming him for that rocket fueled push these past couple weeks with ultra competitive matches with Cena and Roman. Yes dude is next. Just gotta show even a goddamn semblance of charisma tho, personality and the world is his.

I think Jason Jordan will be a future world champion…. Too bad Titus O’Neil can't wrestle he has the look of a champion imo... I’m kind of curious how well Titus would had done if he had the same push Jinder Mahal got.

Jinder is an extremely average wrestler, but Titus is a very below average wrestler, but I feel like that has to do with his late start more than anything. He's got enough charisma for a stable of guys though, so there's no telling.

white people don't really view him as a black wrestler.

and even still, the rock has always been shaded. the biggest or 2nd biggest wrestler(him or Hogan) in modern history, but yet he has the win/loss record of a low-level main eventer.

ehh.

everytime the rock began to pass Austin up, they jobbed the rock out.

Rock cared about entertaining and didn't mind putting over guys. Austin was breaking out in hives avoiding feuds with Eddie, Jarrett and anyone "below [him]" while Rock was smoothly making All Snow, X-Pac, Bossman, Test, and The Hurricane look like studs.

That's something I always appreciated about Rock. He didn't have the same paranoia as other top guys. Or if he did, he didn't have it in as large amounts. Dude was fully confident in himself and his ability to maintain his place on the card.

He could put over Kurt Angle or even fukking Hurricane and it didn't phase him because he knew he just had to come out on the next show, cut one promo, and instantly have his heat back.

It's probably not gonna happen in the next couple years at the least.
Look who runs the company. A 70+ year old white guy.
When he dies, his daughter and son in law will take over and we all know what happen when a black guy is involved in Triple H's angles :mjpls:
Road "Many sides are to blame for Charlottesville" Dogg is writing for Smackdown.

This company is cool with their heels doing racist promos (even though the face doesn't go over in the end), but for some odd reason I don't think there's going to be an angle where a black wrestler kneels during the anthem or throws up the black power fist after he wins a match...
