Trying to make an engaging product created for an audience not just one person one does that.

The biggest change in WWE is that it feels like it's trying to cater to us. When you begin to feel like you aren't watching a show made to please Vince and feel that they are legitimately trying to be an entertaining product for everyone. Fans start to buy in and care again. The apathy was because Vince alienated fans for years.

Your post about Judgement Day is proof. It took awhile, like multiple PPVs, but that team has megaheat now.

Vinceā€™s years of bad booking and not caring wonā€™t be erased in a month or two.

We were literally programmed to watch the same matches and feuds go 50/50 week in and week out. And when Vince actually made something seem important the final product always felt flat or there was no long-term booking to advance with it.

And then we forget the WWE is a tv show like everything else; connecting with characters, seeing characters and storylines evolve, and meaningful matches and moments take more than one episode.

Itā€™s usually about the journey and how we get to the conclusions.

Now we can finally enjoy this

It actually feels like a layered continuity and you feel growth in these arches. Vince at his old age completely lost patience unless it's something he cared about... Which was usually only during Mania season.
