Respect is a two way street. Production companies get their money back through the box office returns.Legendary only own the majority of the PRODUCTION costs....not DISTRIBUTION.
So, it is a different story. Warner Media can release the films however and whenever they want. Legendary pictures are acting like bytches because they didn't get a heads up but seriously what is a BETTER option? Shelve the movies INDEFINITELY and they make NO MONEY at all? They of all people need to be reminded there's a pandemic out there. Ain't anybody trying to be out to the theaters and that's only IF they're open. Someone up there needs to be reminded quickly never to bite the hand that feeds them.
If the distributor is by passing the box office you agreed to pay cost anticipating a return then you need to tell them how you plan to move forward.
