problem is though, if you trade Taj, what happens if Noah & Pau both leave next summer?

our frontcourt is suddenly just Niko & Portis

If all 3 weren't 30 plus I'd see it as a problem but it's time to get younger in the front court and we need another wing.

Just saying, going into next summer with Niko & Bobby as our only front court could be very troublesome

I wish we could have just made Gerald Green work somehow, this roster would be complete right now

Chicago Bulls player who signed a $95 million contract removed the rearview mirror in his car so that he can't look 'back'

Jimmy Butler made the All-Star team last year after averaging 20 points per game. After a breakout season that saw him make the All-Star team and win Most Improved Player, Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler was rewarded with a five-year, $95 million contract.

And Butler, literally, has no intentions of looking back.

Butler's rise has been a storied one. Butler came from a rough background in which he grew up without his father, was kicked out of his mother's house, played a year in junior college before transferring to Marquette, and didn't get drafted until the 30th pick in 2011. Now, he's a max. contract player in the NBA.

In a profile by Chicago Magazine's Bryan Smith, Butler said he wants to put his past behind him so much that he removed the rearview mirror from his car so that he can't look back.

Smh. This is what pretty much every Bulls fan was clamoring about during the offseason. That and a backup PG, of course.

Like others have said, this offense is WAY better with Rose instead of Kirk, like, light years better almost. That being said, betting on Rose for a full season is fools gold (just being honest) and I expect him to miss 15-20 games MINIMUM. Unfortunately, that takes us from being an elite backcourt, to one of the worst backcourts in the league.

I agree that Noah should start with Niko to establish some semblance of defensive identity. If you start Pau teams will be running layup drills the entire first quarter.

There's really no lineup that provides a good balance on this team so you have to pick your poison. I'd much rather rely on Rose/Jimmy/Niko in the backcourt with Noah anchoring the paint, while subbing in Pau/Doug/AB/Taj for offensive vigor off the bench.

Plus, it's better to showcase Jo and sell him high, hoping a team will bite on an UFA defensive center.

Kaman & Gerald Henderson for Noah? I dunno, Im trying here :francis:
I think the deals that will become more available when the season starts and teams with a little expectation gets hit in the head and realize they not that good. (Hell that might be us smh lol) then the deals start getting put on the table where a the idea of a noah or pau etc could be a piece to help another team not be a total failure for the season and helps us get closer to elite.

Especially out west, teams like phoenix, the pelicans, the jazz, the kings, all those teams who been playing the draft for years and need to give their city some playoff revenue just might take a shot adding noah or pau.

BTW I think if we are suspect on whether or not pau or noah will walk, that is more the reason to possibly move both of them, we can't straddle the fence on goals. If it's total win now, then we have to part with some young guys like mcdermott, niko, snell possibly even portis and get quality vets who can learn a system quickly and contribute now don't need years to grow up some. But if we are that afraid to mortgage our future, sell high now on pau and noah and if anyone will take kirk and dunleavy, get some guys to compliment rose, jimmy, niko, taj, portis and mcdermott and move forward. But we can't stay in the middle not wanting to part with older guys while holding on to the youngsters cause it's keeping us stagnant and in nba hell, too good to miss the playoffs, not good enough to win it all.

STAYING THE fukk OUT OF THE WAY
AND GETTING LIMITED PLAYING TIME....

PAU JUST STARTED THE ALL STAR GAME,
AND DOMINATED FIBA OVER THE SUMMER.

THERES NO WAY HE COMES OFF THE BENCH.

Our defense will be a disaster to start games

I realize Pau will start, and regardless of how much you think Noah has fallen off, our defense will be embarrassingly bad to start games with Niko/Pau

Moving Pau doesnt make much sense, we have him on insane value. Moving Noah is going to be extremely difficuly
