I'm still real concerned about Pau lack of effort on D. I know he's old and physically inept but simple things like boxing out, protecting the rim, etc are not difficult. Noah look ok tonight. He's washed offensively but he played good defense on vucci, hustled, and didn't turn the ball over a lot. Doug has been shooting lights out and I hope it continues. Because if he's cold he's atrocious defense does not justify him being out there at all. We really have to address this back up PG situation. Brooks is terrible in this offense we are trying to run. The minute he comes in ball movement stops. He can't pass and any room to shoot he will take it no matter what. In thibs basic sets that was fine, but that selfishness now isn't going to cut it, esp when Doug and Moore are going to have a larger role.
Niko has also been pretty good defensively too. He forced Harris into a lot of altered shots. Him and Noah hustling around and getting after guys could be real interesting
It sounds like we've been saying this for the last 3-4 seasons.
Judge ' d rose' on his play and disregard the fact that he has had 'no pre season because of facial surgery, which has effected his ' eyesight along with close to 3-4 weeks off '
Also disregard the fact, that d rose got up for almost every marquee match up against other top rated PG's in the league last year
I'm not into cuttin most people slack , but anyone makin out like because 'd rose has had issues in the past ' and we are sick of makin excuses for him- So its doesn't make these ' current points' valid

The way he ' searched' out his team mates instead of forcin the shots and is playing within the system ' is good progress for me '
especially with what this coach and team is trying to do going forward
Does that mean @ times he won't have to reach that level of play or can't reach that level of play... nO
This kid can't win ..when he jackin to many shots its a issue ..when he passing to much ..its ' why ain't he 2011 or MVP rose '
He has to find that balance ..the team has to find there niche and it will take sometime

Derrick is fine. He had no preseason and hes saying his eye is still bothering him (although, that excuse needs to go away soon imo)

It's seems like, just like last season, rose seems more concerned with just staying on the court out of concerns of his health and the ridicule he had to endure being out. His game is heavily scaled back. But I can't blame him for that approach. I never seen a athlete deal with career threatening injuries dealing with your knees and get killed on social media and in this trash ass chicago media like rose did. The guy doing all the pretty lay ups and relentlessly attacking the hoop is gone. And he should be.
However, I realize we are not at our best yet, and that will come when jimmy gets consistent as a 20ppg scorer and rose is giving us 20 and 8 sprinkled with some 30 pt games. We seem to be running the team through niko and pau and that is because their offense is going while jimmy and rose are struggling right now. When they wake up we off to the races

Moore can't set others up he routinely misses open players he's not a pg he's better as a scorer imo.Brooks sucks I wish they had nate over that nikka
