Beli had Lawrence fukking Taylor, the GOAT defensive player of all time. No fukking shyt he was gonna wreck your offense.
Beli's Patriot defense are not even near the top of all time lists. Don't even see any one of those SB years as top 10 defense of all time.

What do all those QBs have in common? They aren't elite and likely weren't the defense's main focus going into the game. Compare how his defenses fared against the likes of Peyton, McNair, Gannon, Mcnabb, Warner, or Montana like Reb mentioned.
BTW I wouldn't exactly say Elie shredded anything. Those SBs were more so about the Pats historic offenses getting shut down than Eli picking the defense apart.

In 1990, LT wasn't even the main focal point by that time and they came into the game with Jeff Hosteler. And the Giants were still losing playoff games and missing the playoffs outright with LT....I remember.

eli never shredded any belichick defense. 17 and 21 points respectively isn't shredding anyone.

17 PPG allowed in the 3 SB wins. brady hasn't had to win many shootouts in the playoffs because he has a defense to fall back on.

first of all the giants defense werent historic either in terms of numbers.
second of all, having talent and make the best use of it is completely two different things.
besides LT there was no hall of famers or even 3+ all pros/pro bowlers on those giant teams iirc
you look at those NE teams and they won rings when ty law and seymour were their best players, and defense were still top 3 in the league
beli then managed shyt talent on D in NE to this day (aside from wilfork there are no players of great talent on that D right now), managing it to be manageable.
