It's crazy how closely Kendrick & Drake is mirroring Jay-Z & Nas

:dahell: he is EXACTLY where Nas was. He is considered the best rapper in the game by most critics, but commercially he is nowhere near the level that Kanye and 50 were, or that Jay-Z was (and still is). These are multi-platinum selling rappers with #1 billboard hits. Kendrick is not there, and he probably never will be. He's in the exact same lane Nas was in.
Not 50 but kanye.
1. Sales is only one metric, relatively speaking he's selling in the same range as Kanye was spelling compared to the average rapper or sales of the top 10 selling artists. He's a lot more streamed, now you might say that no one streamed back then well no one buys records today.

2. Stillmatic has like 69 on metacritic, the album Stans call a classic. Kendrick's shyt is 95 or something, Nas was not the critics favorite, his Stans used to say the critics "hated on him", were you not around back then?

3. Kendrick is winning Grammys, headlining pretty big tours, doing big stages at festivals, he's loved across the board, the hipsters love him, the reviewers, and he's selling more than some of the biggest popstars like Rihana, Lorde and all rappers not named Drake and Eminem.

:dahell: Kendrick is bigger than Nas was? nikka you high. You must be a teenager if you don't remember the buzz Nas had after Ether and during the Stillmatic era. Kendrick right now is NOT bigger than that. If anything, he is EXACTLY where Nas was.

You sure you aint rewriting history breh:comeon:? For one thing Nas was pretty damn commercial and doing gangsta rap....Saying Nas was on his pro black/concious shyt when the Jay beef was brewing is like calling Don Mega Cube a conscious rapper.

Also saying he was considered the best rapper in the game during that period by critics or fans:mjlol:? Kenderick yes,Nas not so much.

I see the comparison though but its moreso for how people see Nas today, versus what he was when the beef kicked off with Jay.

I guess that means soon OVO's gonna sign their Kanye West and revitalize Drake's career. Wouldn't be for a while though, since Drake's still got plenty of steam. But I think if anything, Views From The 6 could be Drake's Blueprint. Especially since he's been claiming Toronto heavy as of late.

Already happening low key bruh. You saw Drake jump on that "Tuesday" remix and put it out as a single. That's some subtle "next thing I know he got a song with Coldplay" type shyt

lol dudes fukking citing things called metacritic....get thee fukking dweebs out of hip hop b...
It's an average of reviews, you can browse around and calculate your own average by hand too, no one is stopping you. Old nikkas and the Internet though :snoop:.

Nas Stans always feel that there's some conspiracy when people don't agree with them.
Always were and will forever be the worst Stans in Hiphop after the Slovakian FUBU wearing Pac Stans on YouTube.

Nas got conscious in the God's Son era and from that point forward evolved into the pro black militant shyt. I know he was doing gangsta shyt on Stillmatic.

Who was considered better than Nas at that time? It was exactly what it is now with Kendrick and Drake. Nas was better but Jay was more popular. That's how damn near everyone saw it.

Biggie and Tupac, Jay and Nas, now Drake and Kendrick. If you look hard enough, it's easy to see the parallels. :ehh:

Who's gonna "win" this time around? Time will tell. Smart money on Kendrick.
These parallels these c00ns try to force dont make no fukkin sense...

So, nikkaz swear up and down that Biggie was the rapper and Pac was the superstar... naS was the rapper and Jay is the superstar... Duckworth is the rapper and Drake is the superstar...

but nikkaz swear up and down that Jay is a Biggie clone... and we all know naS tries his damnedest to be Pac... Drake is clearly better at rappin than Duckworth.

So which is it c00ns, is Jay a Biggie clone and thus "the rapper" and is naS the Pac clone and thus not "the rapper"?

nikka Ye's albums were going 3-4-5 times platinum and he was dropping #1 singles, he was all over the damn place. Everything he touched was a hit. To say Kendrick is even close to that level is an insult.

:stopitslime:I think what he's saying is fukk a metacritic score. Stillmatics score is based on 12 fukking reviews including Rolling Stone(who gave it a 2.5) village voice and use today:beli:. You quoting that shyt like its the fukking gospel.:comeon: Has nothing to do with "stans".
