Is djbouti a heterogenous society without a clear unifying language ?

The language of the dominant group could become the national language. Like Amharic in Ethiopia :mjpls:

Ethiopia has no official language and was created by Africans not by the Berlin conference
I don't get why folks get about French but have no problem with English and Portuguese and Arabic being official languages for African countries :yeshrug:

Official language =\= the national language. It doesn't imply subservience.

Plus it was decided by a dictator. :yeshrug:

There's also an Arab minority in the country.
