Vegas is extremely conservative city, so I expect nothing less. It is the right idea, but a wrong and probably immoral approach. Fining destitute people $1000 dollars isn't practical, nor is just moving them off the strip. They write these laws to give the police more authority, but move them where? It's the same thing Hawaii did, in Honolulu, I think.

Where The Grass Is Blue
Man I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago and the amount of homeless folks on the streets hustlin is insane. Especially by where the Miracle Malls and shyt at. Like they really be getting nikkas with them cup games.
I used to work in Planet Hollywood if it wasn’t somebody homeless trying to sell something it was nikkas selling “gas” I swear they got that shyt mastered on the Strip:mjlol:

This is not good.

Once you criminalize homelessness, the next step is criminalizing poverty.

:why:

If they can throw you in jail for being homeless, we arent far away from it being legal to throw you in jail for being poor. Or missing a payment on rent or a car. They already throw nikkas in jail for missing child support payments.

Why would anybody applaud this?:mindblown:

Yeah this is some scary shyt.

Criminalize poverty first. Then comes automation which makes the rich even more rich because they no longer have to pay wages or cover employee health benefits.

Watch poverty and the income inequality divide sky rocket when professions like Truck Drivers and more disappear.

Jail the poor for "Not obeying the law". Accelerate Penal Labor for an endless supply of slave labor, and take the homes of the incarcerated and foreclose them to hasten gentrification of the desirable areas. :mjcry:

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
The Dust King said:
you typed all that and said nothin.

That just means you had no comeback for the logic.

The Dust King said:
the fact you worked in the shelter and still typed that bullshyt means your mentally disattached from the situation.

That's because I know how the system works. Those who really want the help, got it without question as long as they adhere to the regulations..

The Dust King said:
the line starts forming sometimes hours before 5 so miss me

Didn't think I had to specifically state to be there HOURS before the time the place closed, but in any event, your objection (and butthurt) is erroneous since, as I stated earlier, if there are no beds available they will put you up in a hotel/rooming house with emergency funds earmarked for that eventuality.

Homeless people wandering the streets aimlessly, begging for change and being a general nuisance, are there by choice.

They chose to be out there rather than get help which is available 24/7/365 in EVERY state in America..

I wrongly assumed, given the gun mania, and some of the major Republican businessman who operate there, (Wynn and the like) that the Mayor, Governor, and Senators were Republican, I had no idea, that is was a mostly Democratic power base. There has to be a pretty strong presence of Republican/conservatives, there. Hillary Clinton only won by a few points in 2016.

Rural Nevada is obviously all red. Reno used to be more red, but 2018 blue rolled up there as well as clark. Clark county is blue, and with washoe (reno/tahoe/Carson city) looking more blue it’s tough to even consider Nevada a swing state anymore. I had a big wager on Hillary to win Nevada in 2016 just because the Clark county blue wall is tough to scale, and would have a very sizable bet on whoever the dems trot out in 2020 if the odds are similar. Heller, the former republican senator, got absolutely waxed in 2018 he couldn’t even carry washoe. Rurals made it look tighter on paper but if a republican can’t even carry traditionally more conservative washoe county they have no shot in Nevada
