GDP is just another way cacs like to 'average' shyt out. the cost of living in china is far cheaper, and thus it doesnt equate in the same way. I never saw an unemployed person, sure their average are far less than the average american, HOWEVER its a communist country, they subsidize everything, its complicated and not the thread to dig deep in it, but they run things a bit 'funky' western measurements cant and wont explain it.

Yea, i mean if china fought japan or south korea without the us helping them, they would likely still win overall but they would be embarrased in quite a few battles. Taiwan is giving them enough pressure because the chinese dont have too many ways to overcome areas access denial strategies, stuff the japs and koreans could do cuz america trained them. Russia would wash China in a land war but the Chinese would win the first round. The russian counterattack would kill em tho. Theyre being smart by doing what you said, bullying small countries in the south china sea until they modernize their military enough to pivot into east or central asia in the coming years

Remember the scene in 300, where the persians blocked out the sun with arrows? it would look like that to japan and korea. but heres the thing tho, china has no intentions to attack or 'take over' anyone. they never have. think historically, when has china ever 'conquered' anyone? they built a wall because manchurians (qing dynasty) and mongols (khan) kept fukking with them. those 2 were from the north and kept stealing their technology and culture.

china, historically, have always been dominate through trade and by them having superior culture, all of asia just kneeled by default. but theyve never gone on 'quests' to rule the region. its not their culture. again, having lived there, a lot of people try to 'think' of china in a western way, and its just not how it works there. the only time they are aggressive, is its their land. rightfully so. Hong Kong, Tibet, Taiwan, and those small islands belong to them, its always been theres for thousands of years, just cause some cacs took it, and passed it away like candy dont make it any different.

the only one that could be argued is maybe Tibet. but the rest, nope, its always been china's since before america even existed.

I cant speak on tibet, but those islands in south china have always been there until japan ran a muck during WW2.
