Last year they claimed they killed hundreds of militants in surgical strike and shot down Pakistani F-16, turned out they bombed empty plot of forest and shot down their own helicopter. They claimed they didn't lose any aircraft but then changed their story after Pakistan paraded their captured pilot.
Earlier this year they claimed they killed 17 Chinese soldiers but then they kept changing their story about what happened before and during the clash.
Indian medias are like Fox news on steroid. They often act like BJP's mouthpiece. Take everything they say with huge grain of salt.
