I have to give WWE credit b/c they've clearly made him a strong upper midcarder...something he wasn't 15 months ago.
He doesn't job cleanly in single's matches anymore...he's rarely the New Day member that takes the fall when they lose. And he's generally booked to look great.
He's clearly in a better position on WWE programming than what he was pre-gauntlet match last year.

Well, he's at the point where he can go between upper-midcard/main event territory. He's firmly established. He's the de-facto leader of the New Day. He's not Ziggler or Del Rio. He's in the Bryan, Seth, KO, Samoa Joe tier. If Xavier didn't get hurt, he'd be at least in title contention.
Another world title run may be far-fetched for him(unless he goes to NXT)….but a long run with 1 of the no.2 titles could be dope.
When Xavier comes back, having him tag with E while Kofi hunts for the IC/US would be great.
