Draymond is/should be the 5 now.

The other players can take up whatever minutes when he's on the bench. Bjelica can moonlight at the 5 too - he's played there for the last couple of seasons.
You’re just asking for trouble, dray can’t take that physical toll at his age. Seriously he’s barely 6’6

he can play center in spurts, not full time

He was the main center when Wiseman went down this past season. You know when Warriors started to win games on a regular basis?

It's not asking for trouble; he more or less plays that type of role, anyway. It'll be up to the rest of the frontcourt rotation to make a concerted effort to help him out. Obviously, when they need to go big and combat size, he should move to the 4, but by default, there's no reason why he shouldn't be the 5 going forward.

Draymond playing alongside a big that can't shoot should be kept to a minimum.

Dray at center full time doesn’t work against

both la teams
Portland
Denver
Utah

etc

dray has always been at his best playing alongside a big/tall body. You’re asking for trouble, if dray gets hurt then u lose your primary ball handler which puts more pressure on steph

Dray at center full time simply doesn’t work

I question if you've even watched your team over the last half a decade when Draymond has always played his best ball at the 5, especially when he has freedom to move on offense, which he doesn't have to the same degree with another big man. This team looked their best and had the best defense in the league last season when he was at the 5. Furthermore, if you want to have Draymond playing alongside another big that can't shoot, I don't wanna hear you complaining about the spacing again.

The last time that Draymond was actually effective alongside another traditional big man was when he could shoot. But as we've seen over the last couple of seasons, his shooting has been on the decline, and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon. Which is why it's even more important for him and the functionality of the offense that they don't pair him with a big who can't shoot, on the regular.

Having him as the default 5 is the only remedy to this.

Steve Kerr mentioned his concerns about Draymond guarding bigger players for too many minutes. I don't think that's part of his plans. He wants him at the 5 at crucial moments and especially closing games. So the minutes in between are critical. We can't have leads disintegrating when steph goes to the bench. If they solve that, then they buy minutes with other 5's.
